Burnt Taste From Atomizer...?

After cleaning one of my atomizers(Super Mini from SmokeStik) (Running it through hot water and letting it sit over night) I'm getting a burnt taste from it, even with a brand new cart.
When looking at it I don't see any burn marks, or anything that would cause it to taste like that. Is it just because it could be dry? and how do you go about fixing that if all you have is the carts that came with the kit? (Liquids have not gotten here yet)

It could be that it is too dry. If you do not have liquid, try to put a new cart and let it take the juice from the cart for 5 or 10 minutes. Put the atty with the cart stand up.

I do not know what brand of e-cig you are using. What I have done with mt super minies M401 is to boil the atty for 3 to 5 minutes, then I shake them to take the water out and then I dry the atty hitting it with 4.5 to 6 Volts (I use up to 7 Volts in pen styles) until it is totally dry. Some times I can see some kind of vapor or maybe fume going out the atty and it smell burn. So, I keep hitting the atty with 4.5 or 6 v until in 1 minute intervals until I can not see and/or smell the fume.

Then I put a new cart and let it be for 5 to 10 minutes until I am sure the atty is wet with juice and vape. The first 2 or 3 drags will not have to much vapor production, but after that....wow

I JUST went through the same thing you are going through now.

Was advised to replace my cart filler with the pyrimad tea bag mods. After I did that, burnt taste went away so im assuming the poly cart filler was tainted.

As ccure says: best to drip it or let it absorb some liquid.

Are you sure the cart filler isn't touching the atty? That is a recurrent problem with my e-cigar (I keep trimming and stuffing the filler).

Put a couple of drops of liquid directly on to the atomiser bridge and leave it to soak in.

Try it again.

If it is still too dry repeat.

I don't have my liquid yet. But thank for the advice
I went to the SmokeStik shop called ByByButts today and they told me as long as I didn't use the liquid, all my parts are under a year warranty including the atomizer. Which I thought was really great! Depending on how payday works out tomorrow, I might buy a titan and try that out. If it works out, I'll just use liquid in that, and save my smokestik for smokestik bran carts. That warranty is a really nice +! It's only about an hour drive from me, which beats 3-4 days shipping.

truth is they just want you to spend a ton on the carts.if you order some carts from time to time they will never know if you also used liquid with it.I'm sure they don't have a spectrum analyzer to check and only go by purchase history.

I found that letting my atty soak in vodka or tequila overnight seems to clear it out quite well. Has anyone tried nail polish remover? It seems like it would get the dried up crud out of the well, but it seems a little too dangerous. Plus I'm afraid it would eat the paint off the atty.
