Burnt Taste in Carto

So I recently bought some BWB Malty Toffee juice. I love the flavor of this stuff, but it's absolutely killing my cartos. Anyone ran into problems like this? Got a new batch of cartos the other day and loaded up a bunch of my regular juices, including the basic Malty flavor which I've never had a problem w/. Started vaping the Malty Toffee and on the second or third puff definitely got a burnt flavor from it. Was still producing vapor too, which I thought was weird. I figured I just didn't let it wick long enough since the stuff is fairly thick, so broke open a new carto and decided to use a combination of the condom method as well as my normal drip fill method to make sure that everything was well-saturated. Let it sit overnight and fired it up tonight and after about four puffs, same burnt flavor w/ a decent amount of vapor. What is going on with this stuff? I can't keep burning up cartos on it. Any special techniques that people have used?

Maybe the sugar left behind burning to the heat? My sweeter juices (geoffs blend) tends to gunk up my cartos

When I'm not using a tank, I use a syringe to fill cartos...gets them nice and slushy. Sounds like your juice isn't getting all the way to the bottom. Clear cartos are great for seeing what is really going on in there.

Sounds like you juice is not able to wick fast enough. To make a stab at answering you question we need information.
What battery are you using?
What kind of carto?
How many ohms is your carto?
What is the pg/vg ratio?

Dark thick juice has a hard time really filling the filler. It may get down there but you'd be surprised how many air pockets are left when filling the carts by gravity alone. Filling them from the bottom up with a syringe helps a lot. That way you can get a day or so out of a carto filled with thick sugary juice. Try buying a clear carto with filler in it on your next order. You'll see just how hard it is to saturate the filler.

You guys are reading my mind here w/ the clear cartos, was just looking at some clear SmokeTek XL 1.7s. Will try the syringe as well. To answer the previous questions, I'm using a Kgo 1100 mAh w/ Boge LR carto.

Oh an I'm not sure of the exact ratio, but I've been told that the BWB Malty & Malty Toffee are both 70/30 vg/pg. Makes sense, as it is some rather thick stuff. Funny thing is I've never once had a problem w/ the regular Malty. Must be the addition of that damn toffee

LR cartos will vaporize more juice than a regular carto so they need to wick better. Thick juice will compound the problem and it may be that the filler isn't soaking all the way through. What seems to be happening is that you get enough wicking to get good vapor and high pg would be a factor in that. Toffee tends to quickly gum up coils and that residue is causing the burning taste as soon as the coil gets a little dry.

Dude, same here! I am using KGO with Boge LR carto, bwb juice does not work well in carto. It can make the cartos burn faster. I have use the condom method, syringe filled, shake it well, and it still burned.
Now, I am using 2.8 ohm, burned 2 of them already(bought them on 14/2/2012).
But, i still love bwb juice. I usually vape the menthol tobacco.
