Alright so I have 3 atty's 2 occ and 1 rba they both came with the tank I have the subtank mini from kanger.

I don't know if I'm going crazy or what. However they ALL taste weird.

So far I've changed the wick on the RBA 3 times.. no change, I've changed the wick on the 1.2 ohm OCC twice.. no luck.. now this is the odd part. I have been using the sub ohm .5 for weeks, like 2 weeks about. And even the atty I never changed the wick taste bad. I thought it was my wicking skill even though I know I did the wicks perfect and many times to make sure.

I even have two batteries that I have been using thinking maybe it was a power thing. Changing batteries did nothing.

Why would all 3 atty heads be giving me a weird burnt / horrible taste? Sometimes it's subtle.. sometimes is unbearable. However I have been at this all day and I simply can't fix it.

If it only did it on the ones I rewicked I would understand.. however it's doing it on all of the three.

It could be the juice, the power level you're vaping at. All sorts of different things. What other gear do you use?

I'm just using the kanger subtank mini and the kbox. I have tried from 8 watts to 30 watts and they all taste the same. Plus I have been vaping the .5 OCC for weeks at multiple watts and it never did this. Same goes with the 1.2.. never had a bad taste before at any watts.

I've tried every juice I have including my favorite juice. I know it's not a juice thing.

Do you have any other equipment you can use to determine if the problem isn't your tastebuds? If it's not you, then its possible that you managed to scorch the cotton. If you take off the cotton on the rba, does the cotton look burnt?

A little bit of the cotton near the middle did have a dark charred look to it.

The only other vape I have is a tiny vape pen with small vape production which is hard to taste for me. The kbox tastes gross and the vape pen tastes fine I from what I can tell.

The only thing that confuses me is why would I get the same taste on the OCC 1.2, the .5, and the rba when I never re wicked the .5.

I roll up one end of the cotton so it goes through the coil then I gently pull the cotton through so it still has some tension but is loose enough to soak up the juice. I prime them well and make sure the cotton is long enough to reach the feeder holes. Never changed the .5 so maybe it was just coincidence that the .5 gave way at the same time?

No i never dry burnt them which I will do on my next re wicking. but the RBA coil was brand new never used and it tasted the same as the others.
The next time you rewick give that coil a dry burn at either 13 or 20 watts. That will clean off any gunk. Keep pulsing in the power so your coil doesn't stay red and break; just gradually apply more power.

Whats your airflow set to?

Always, always burn the coils if you can. It cleans them better than you'd believe. I once wicked my rba right after work and my hands were not the cleanest... worst tasting vape ever. Like a monkey .... dipped in motor oil.

The airflow is at the highest setting, very airy. and i'll give the coil dry burn a try

Is there any tricks to the re wicking I'm not mentioning besides dry burning? I followed tutorials to the T and made sure the wick was not too tight not too loose, also made sure it was not too tightly packed and long enough to reach the holes.
Are the juice holes completely clear When you rewick?
