Yes that is what I would assume too.

I only use 20% or less VG in cartos though 30% works. Some vendors thin their VG and in that case a 50/50 might work but it's depends on the ohms and how fast you vape etc. The juice NEEDS to wick through the stuffing (or wicks in a clear carto) at least as fast as you vape it.

I do have a couple of 50/50-only juices I like so I drip those at home on an atomizer and sealed manual battery.

You can add some distilled water to the liquid if you think it might help. Start with 2 drops, then another 2 drops just to be careful because its harder to fix if you add too much.

Did you let your cartomizers sit and soak up the liquid after you filled them? With a thicker juice it might take a little longer. I suggest waiting at least 20 minutes after you've filled them.

Good luck!

I've only gotten a burnt taste from a cartomizer that's almost empty. Never from thick juice- with thick juices it's just harder to vape- the draw is harder. It takes awhile for the thicker juice to absorb and move to the bottom of the carto. Maybe let your cartos sit for a bit?

Like others have said, try a bit if distilled water.

How many drops are you adding when you fill a carto? What kind of carto are you using? A Boge can normally handle 20-30 drops on the first fill. If you're not adding enough liquid you might be tasting the cartomizer burning. Hmmmm... But yes you could try thinning it. You can find distilled water at walmart/stop and shop. About 1$ for a gallon.

We all experience burnt taste from time to time..its usually due to the coils not being wet enough when using carts...50/50 mix has little to do with it at all. Keep your cart wet if your still getting burnt taste, clean your cart if that dont work .... can that nasty cart and get a new one fired up..thats it.

its brand new thats why i am confused...

50/50 mix is fine for a carto. On a new fill, it will take 25-30 drops and then just keep it topped off when it starts to look dry. After the first fill, let it sit for 15 minutes or so, so that the juice gets down to the coil. Add a few more drops if it looks like it will take it. If it's low resistance, you need to keep it wet. Regular resistance doesn't get as hot so they are safer to run a tad bit drier than the LR's.

If they are Boge 1.5ohms, there has been some QC problems with them tasting burnt. I've also heard of the 2.0ohm'd ones doing the same but I haven't had any problems with any of mine yet.

Are those the 1.7 ohm prefilled cartos?

So you are using some of the hottest cartos with 50/50 juice?

My opinion is learn to use them with thinner juice first, learn to keep them damp etc. Then try to make 50/50 work.

Keep in mind when people say 50/50 works fine - some vendors use VG that has been prethinned with distilled water or add distilled water into their higher VG juice recipes. So all 50/50's are not the same thickness. And an experienced carto user may be able to do things you can't do.

Do you have any thinner juices to top the carto off with?

And you really need to keep LR cartos damp.

And don't drag hard. Try dragging longer but slower and let the button up slightly before the end of your drag so the end of your drag will cool the carto a bit. Try to pace yourself so the juice has time to rewet the coil area. And if you are chain vaping I recommend thinner juice or a higher ohm carto.

I ordered my favorite juice accidently 80vg/20pg instead of 80pg/20vg. I can vape it, I don't get a burnt taste, but it definitely takes longer to fill the cartomizer. One is almost like water and the other almost like vegetable oil.

I do 5-10 drops, give a thermometer shake to move the juice down, 5 more, shake...keep doing that until you can't get any more juice and you get a drop out of the bottom. Even then let it sit a bit and try adding a couple more drops.

Try to add a couple drops through the battery end and see if the burnt taste goes away. Sometimes it will. Sometimes the carto is just burnt and you shouldn't really use it.
