I am thinking about starting my own e-cig online business (Ya i know another one right?). I am in the tech field and building a really good and functional site is no issue. I also have a background in business so I have that covered. What I don't have covered is some good wholesale suppliers, about how much inventory I should start out with, and what items I should really be stocking first. I am thinking a stock 510 and maybe an upgrade, parts for these kits, usb pass through devices, and flavors for making our own flavoring.

This would really be a business for my wife as I already work 60 plus hours. I would be handling the technical side while she handled the customer service and order fulfillment. At any rate if anyone has some suggestions or can point me at some trustworthy suppliers (prefer US but am not opposed to ordering from china).

Thanks in advance for any help you might have.

I've thought about doing this myself, but never invested in it.

For hardware, there are no US suppliers except resellers (that I know of). Some US sellers have mods that they make, or high-grade atomizers, but they sell them on their own site. In terms of stock 510 kits, Rivas or eGos, atomizers, etc... you're going to be buying from China. There's really no way around that.

Alibaba should be your first stop, or ........... It's a risky business to get into, as you have to find suppliers that are trustworthy, get good prices, and hope to god that the FDA doesn't intercept hundreds or thousands of dollars in merchandise.

There's certainly money to be made, but one of the reasons that we consumers here in the US are willing to pay 4-6 bucks for an atomizer that we could get for a buck fifty from china is that the supplier takes all the risk of customs seizure. Keep that in mind :)

Good luck!

EDIT: As for juice, if you want to make your own, that's a lot less risky, but it'll take time and effort to learn how to make some great juice. There are a lot of sellers that have die hard fans now, and though there is always room for one more, I'd start mixing now and have local vapers that you know act as happy guinea pigs for you.

Flavoring: Flavor's Apprentice (Perfumer's Apprentice); FlavourArt; LorAnn's, etc
Unflavored Nic Juice: I get mine from myfreedomsmokes when there's a sale, not sure if that will be best for you, but the quality and packing of his juice cannot be beat, imo. Price is great as well during sales.

I recommend Joye 510 because there are some substandard clone parts around. I always tell new people to get Joye since I did not do that and ended up with a kit with an eh atty and carts that didn't even fit on the atty. And it seems more people who buy clones have trouble with melting carts etc.

Re juices - few people buy the Chinese juices beyond some to arrive along with their first ecig kit. I think most US people vape PG/VG blends from US juice mixers. If you just care about have some for new equipment buyers, then a small selection of Dekang PG and VG juices should be OK. You need to offer some kind of juice if you plan to be selling any people their first ecig. Or maybe you could make a deal with a US juice vendor to stock several of their juices?

I don't know what wholesalers other vendors use.
