Though the K100 was nice, but decided it was just a looks thing.
Kamry KTS with Flat top is a nice clean looking and decent functioning Mod.

I really enjoy using my Sigelei #20 Mods. I don't go sub ohm and usually run a Kick module @ 7-8 watts. They can be fiddly though. Mine have worked perfectly since the day I received and cleaned all the contact points.

Some pretty awesome ChiYou clones out there. I would go that route if I was looking to spend under $50. I like the high end mechanicals myself, both for aesthetics and durability/quality, but I think you can get a pretty nice clone that will do the job for a good long time if you treat it gingerly.

Another option would be to buy a gently used mech mod in the Classies.

I'll second that EHPro EA clone. Out of the 6 mechs I own, the only one I have that hits harder is my Nzonic, and the only reason I know is because my inline volt meter tells me so. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

The Fasttech Sentinel and Private clones are also worth a mention. I recommend the Sentinel brass version, as the aluminum one has soft threads that strip easily.

Whichever one you choose, the most important things you will buy for your new mech are GOOD batteries and a GOOD charger. Be sure to familiarize yourself with every aspect of battery safety before you go sub and you'll be loving every minute of it!

I have both a K100 and a KTS GG clone. Both have been with me for months now, have been used as my main vape devices and both have fared very well. I prefer the K100, but it's personal preference for mod design only (mainly the switch style), nothing to do with performance. I think you can get these for around $35 in NA and less from FT.

Before you try sub-ohm coils, I suggest you read up on the safety issues. The RBA forum is a great place to start. Use IMR Li-ion batteries from a trusted supplier, a good charger, learn how to use a DMM and then use it. Also check out micro coils. There's a great thread on it here. I've found this is a great way to get better performance from higher resistance builds.

HTH.
