I tried buying a syringe, and despite my look (I'm currently wearing a jagermeister shirt, with a hoodie under a jacket. I have unkempt hair and a beard.) I don't actually do any drugs other than nicotine and caffeine.

But boy was it hard to convince a pharmacist that I needed a syringe. He probably thought I was going to use it for ....... I tried explaining e-cigs to him but he said he wouldn't sell it unless it was for a medical purpose, the only ones they had there were for insulin.

I guess I'll just buy one online, it just sucks to pay shipping for a 25c-3$ item. I saw an oral syringe available OTC, but I figured I'd need a needle long and skinny enough to reach the bottom of a cartridge.

I don't think this post belongs anywhere specific, and figured this would be the appropriate section as it has to do with e-cigarettes (in this case, an accessory) in public.

I had a similar situation at my local Walgreens.

I even went through a whole demonstration and told her about how they were supposed to be selling them soon, but she still wouldn't sell me any. :(

I just waited until I needed to place an order and then added it in. Kinda sucks.

I did find some syringes for a good price at Deal Extreme(free shipping), but I don't know what size needle it has and e-juice is kinda thick, so a small needle won't work. I guess I'll just have to get some and see.

I started a thread about this last week. I found them at my Co-op store for 25 cents a piece. It's a local farm and feed like others said. I bought the 16ga. Works great. The small needles don't work cause they won't draw the liquid. Anything up to a 20ga works. You don't need to buy them online and pay S/H.

Still chuckling over previous posts. You guys are always good for a laugh.

Just FYI, I think....

I am not sure if this is still true, but I believe that pharmacies are obligated to sell you syringes regardless of the intended use. This started years and years ago with the onset of the AIDS/HIV epidemic. I used to work in a pharmacy and I remember we told we had to sell syringes to anyone who requested them and we were not to even question what they were being used for. That didn't stop the junkies from telling us they were for their Grandmother or a friend, etc. You should have heard some of the stories they came up with.

Anyway, just my 2 cents... Please correct me if I am wrong, like I said this is how it used to be and I can't imagine that this has changed.

i use a 1ml syringe for sqeezing out cart fibers, but for filling carts and dripping at home i use one of these. you should be able to get them at any decent arts & craft store. indespensible, IMHO. pretty cheap, too, and they last forever. i've been using this one for a variety of things for 12 years now.

You know Sun I thought that was true too but I've read other threads here from people who went to pharmacys and they said they were either given a hard time about it or the pharmacist refused to sell them one. I didn't have trouble buying one, they just didn't have a big enough gauge to sell me. That's why I went to the feed store.

tinear:

That's a great idea. Wish I would have thought of it. I have several bottles around here that look simular, they are for doing henna tatoos. But I am going to look for those at the craft store. I assume they must be probably for glue?

I just dont like having the needles around all the time. Even when I give shots to my pets, I get rid of them right away.

Idaho--I was ordering them from Johnson Creek, but then a friend of mine told me to go to a veternarian and ask for one--do not have any pets, so asked another friend when they went to get one for me which they did --I need a new one though--Was thinking about those inkjet printer cartridge refillers they sell at Staples. Going to have to check them out---Sun
