Do you mean the 5-pack of cartridges that came with your E-Power? The ones that came filled with a tobacco juice?

If they are the ones you mean, then yes you will have to continue to keep adding bc they dont hold much.
I would really suggest you try cartomizers if you havent already. Youll see a whole nother side of your E-Power if you throw a good cartomizer on it. They are very easy to use since the atomizer and cartridge are one piece, and they can hold MUCH more juice than a regular cartridge. I would highly suggest you try the Ressurectors that I was mentioning above. I think you would like them A LOT more, especially if you are getting annoyed with having to keep adding juice to your cartridges. The Ressurectors hold 2ml of juice. One ressurector generally lasts me all day. I find cartomizers to be much easier to use throughout the day. They come with rubber caps on the ends. Ive been vaping 2 or 3 juices that I really like, and I just fill a cartomizer in the morning with each juice, and then I put the rubber caps back on. Then you can just take the cartomizers with you and youll never have to worry about running out and you get a variety of juices to vape

Hi again Rob and thanks so much - really interested in the cartomizers - how do I know exactly which one to order and will it just replace the cartridges (the 5 pack that came with my E-power or do I need to buy something else to make it adapt to the 14650? Can you suggest where to buy it and exactly what I order when I ask for it? Thanks so much, Darlene

Yeah I think you would like cartomizers much more. A lot of people use them bc they find them much easier to use, especially when you are not at your house. I work in a financial firm so Im always on the move and thats why I use cartomizers. Its just easier. Another plus to cartomizers is that everytme you use a new one you are essentially using a new atomizer, so you dont have to worry about your atomizers wearing out, dropping in performance, etc. Cartomizers are generally made to be disposable (thats why they are cheap) but many people refill them. A good cartomizer can be refilled quite a few times. One of the ressurectors I have Ive been using for about 3 weeks.

Im going to explain all of this so hopefully it helps you understand alittle better.

What you are using right now is an atomizer with a cartridge connected to it. The atomizer is the part connected to the battery and the cartridge is connected to the atomizer. The atomizers is what creates the vapor. Inside there is a coil that heats up when you push the button. There is also a wick inside the atomizer that that travels to the coil. When you connect a cartridge to the atomizer, the juice travels down the wick becuase it becomes saturated. When you start to get a burnt taste its because your out of juice and the wick is drying up. Be careful to not let them get too dry bc you will burn the wick and can ruin it.
A cartomizer is essentially a cartridge with an atomizer inside of it. So instead of having 2 seperate pieces, you just have one. So instead ofdoing what you do now, putting the cartridge onto the atomizer and screwing the atomizer to the battery, you would just screw the cartomizer directly onto the battery. This is why I think you would like it and find it easier.

So far Ive answered your question about replacing the cartridges. Yes, the cartomizer will replace the cartridges AND the atomizer.

Moving on, your next question asked if you need to buy something to make it adapt to your E-Power. The answer is NO.

The E-Power has what is called a 510 connection. Thats really referring to the type of threading. So the atomizers that you currently have, have a 510 threading. So for cartomizers, you will want to buy any cartomizer that uses the 510 threading (connection). The 510 connection is probably the most popular/used which is good because you will have a lot of different choices.

Their are single coil cartomizers, doubles, and even triples. I would recomend to start you get regular single coil cartomizers. If they dont say double or triple coil, they are singles. Singels are the most common and are great. The main difference is that double coil cartos have 2 coils instead of one so they can potentially make more vapor. They are nice, but do drain your battery quicker. I would start with regular ones to get the hang of it and then experiement down the line if youfeel its necessary. I use the Ressurector cartomizers, like I stated above, they are single coil.

I forgot to add this earlier. You will see that atomizers and cartomizers have different resistances. The lower the resistance, the hotter the vapor will be. You will see that some cartomizers will say LR. That means low resistance. Anything from 1.5ohm to 2.0ohm is generally considered low resistance. There also are standard resistance (SR) attys/cartos. They are around 2.5ohm +/-. They will have a cooler vape. Then there is also Higher Resistance ones (3.0ohm-5ohm), but they are used for High Voltage Vaping. You will not use them bc the E-Power is not a High Voltage PV. The E-Power is a 3.7V PV.
The atomizers you have now are SR. (I think they are 2.5ohm or 2.7ohm)

This is where it is going to be up to you. You might like a LR cartomizer and you might like a SR carto. A lot of people like LR, and the warmer vape, me included. You should try a few different resistances and see what you like best. Juices a lot of times taste different at different resistances. So I would maybe get a pack of LR ones and a pack of SR.

As far as what to buy, like I said there are a LOT of different choices for cartomizers, and a lot of different places to buy them. You can search around on this forum and find a lot of good vendors. Just remember, 510 connection.
To start out though, I would recommend you go to Crystal Clear Vaping. They sell only 510 cartomizers so thats good and it wont confuse you too much. They sell BOGE cartomizers, which are very popular, and might be a good start for you. I would get the ones that are 2.0ohms. They say BOGE tech soft tip LR carto 1.8-2.2ohms. They come in a 5 pack.
They also sell the Ressurector cartomizers, which is what I use. They are also LR, but are 1.7ohm and they are Mega, which just means they are longer and hold more juice. I think you would like them too. They also come in a 5 pack.
All of them come empty so you can put your own juice in them.

I think you should order there for your first order bc they offer free shipping and it will save you a few bucks. Plus he gives you a free syringe with all carto purchases to fill them and he guarantees all cartomizers, so if you get one that is DOA he will replace it. If you order a 15 pack, he also gives you a free drip tip which is sweet.
Put "ecf5off" in the coupon code and you will get 5% off the order, which will make it alittle cheaper.

I hope I answered most of your questions that you had and gave you some good info, but if I didnt feel free to ask anything before you order if needed. I think you will really like cartomizers and they will really improve your quality of vaping.

Oh, and I know your prob wondering what the heck you would need a syringe for and also how you fill your cartos with juice. Using a syringe is just one of the ways to fill cartos. Their are a few others also.

I will be glad to explain it to you in detail in a later post. Sorry all this took a long time to write!:p

Let me know what other questions you have

Wow, great information and explanation, thank you so much - I am going to the place you suggested to order and get some of the ones you said would be the best for me, very anxious to try this out and I think I am really going to like them. My original order came from SmokTec (not somketech) and I have read on some forum posts that threads from different suppliers might not be the same for all 14650 ecigs - hopefully this is wrong and I can order the cartmizors from anywhere. Again, thanks and especially for the details in your info, helped so much!!! Darlene

+1 for CCV and for the E-Power -- their 14650 has been my go to rig now for about three weeks, an it just keeps getting better.

The switch gets a little sticky sometimes, and I just pull the carto/cone off and blow it out (I use an airhose in our shop but just blowing or using a Qtip would probably work just as well)

Also I noticed that the attys that come with the kit seemed to have longer threads than a standard carto/atty, and pushes the little center pin back down. Fortunately, there is a hole on the bottom of the switch that will let a straightened paper clip push it back up.

I sound like I'm griping a lot, but this is really small stuff. Overall, I love this little unit, and for anyone not quite ready to dive headfirst into a $100+ mod, but looking for replaceable batteries and a little m ore oomph than a standard eGo, 510, or 808, this is great piece.

Also, packaging this with a pack of ressurectors and a 30ml of juice makes a great 'starter kit' setup for someone getting started or re-started into vaping.

Theres a new switch for the 14650 E-Power too if anyone didnt know already. This is the third version.
New one still has plastic button but now has a 5-click on/off feature which is nice. It also has a white LED now instead of the blue.
Cheapest Ive found it is from CCV for $9.50. Sweet-vapes.com also has it and actually has it for cheaper, but once you add shipping its more than CCV.
