buying a TT510M automatic or manual ???

In general, using manual or automatic batteries is a matter of personal preference. On some models one type is better implemented than the other. I much prefer the automatic batteries for the 801, 901, and Kr8 (although not all users would agree).
On the 510, however, the vast majority of users (including yours truly) would say manual batteries. The manual switch button is superbly implemented on the 510, whereas the automatic is too sensitive to sound and movement.
