Buying DIY Supplies - Question

XtremeVaping turns out to be a good value. Naturally shipping was high but it's the actual cost not inflated by the supplier. I bought a jug of VG, PG and 36mg nic and some pipettes. I should be all set to make some good juice!!

Between Capella and PA I have 15 different flavors so now to the recipe files here.

My order yesterday was $30 + 5.65 for priority mail. I thought that shipping was in line.

My order was $21 and shipping was $10.05 USPS First Class, probably because I ordered jugs of PG and VG.

I can't believe some of my bottles came today!!! I ordered 6ml plastic dropper bottles from Candlechem Company on the 10th and they got here today from MA! With shipping 50 cost me $18.95 so that's about $.21 each... not bad!

I always place a small first order to see how a company does business. I know I'll feel good about placing future orders with them.

Never did hear back from Liberty Flights regarding the base of their nic liquid. Maybe something went wrong on their website message center and I should send them an email.

as far as getting the flavor right.. make a small vial of liquid that is double the strength of the final product you are working on.. start with 5% flavor.. if it is too week add a drop of flavor and a drop of the double strength unflavored until you get the taste you want

I think I'm brain-dead tonight and trying to understand what you mean here.

Make a double strength of the nic, so 24mg if you are making 12mg? So one bottle is the 12mg that you are adding the flavor to and one bottle is 24mg nic and PG/VG (whatever base) and PGA?

Mix a batch of 5mls @12mg complete with flavouring let's say at 5%. That particular batch is at 12mg because you made it that way, set it aside.

Make a batch of flavourless 24mg (let's say 10mls) because you will be using this later. Now go back to the 5mls @12mg...

If you did not flavour enough (5%) then add a drop or two more, and equivalent drops of the 24mg. This will ensure that your final product will be at 12mg bang on. This is how it works...

With every drop of flavour you are adding + every drop of 24 mg, you are adding flavouring at 12mg for the lack of a better way to explain it.

I have an email into him to see why shipping was so much. The USPS commercials say whatever you can fit in the box ships for $4.95.

Still no response from the inquiries I made to Sutton Bay Trading or Get Suckered about their flavorings.

Did you think all the help I have offered to date was free , think again. You paid for my shipping as well. Levy charges a flat rate, to folks in the states it sucks, to folks up in the great white north, well you know

If it makes you feel any better, I have paid up to $22 dollars for the same box, so we are even ;-)

If it's any consollation, we have the same fluctuations here as well.

I talked to the PO and they said that he is being charged $4.95 as long as it can fit in that sized Priority Mail box. A 33% shipping charge is a bit steep from Florida to California... geez, I'm not in Canada.

Hey GoodDog, I actually made that same order today from candlechem, looked like the best deal to try their product. $5.00 flat shipping for any size bottle order via UPS ground. Did yours come UPS ground? 2 days cross country sounds more like priority mail. I hope that's the case. How do you like the bottles? BTW it works out to like .38 per bottle not .21, still that's the best deal I could find on a small order. Sounds like you could order 1000 and it would still be $5 shipping.

Yes, it came USPS Priority Mail. Is my math that bad!!?? LOL Well that tells me I better use the recipe calculator and not try to do the math in my head. It really sucks getting old!!!

i put in an order sunday night with juicy liquids and got my order on tuesday. it probably would have taken longer with federal express. though i realized the company was located about 45 minutes from where i live.

Levy at Xtreme Vaping is a good guy, Switched, and he was great at taking care of the overcharge. Something is going on with his site, though and I just received an email (after placing another order) saying it was canceled. It wasn't calculating correctly so I hope it's nothing major.

Now, Liberty Flights... they shipped on the 11th but the post office returned it because the address was incorrect on the package.
