I thought "they are all from China, why not save money"?

I first tried price-angels.com. 2 ego-t 1300 mah, 2 650 mah, $6.00/ $5.00. All but one 650 died either immediately or within two weeks. Just playing with them, I requested an RMA. Their final offer is a $2.00 coupon.....

I then found ecigarettechina.com. Success! I bought 6 ego-t 1300 mah, $8.00/ea. Within an hour, one got so hot it burned my wifes thumb. The battery switch stayed lit, so I threw it out into the driveway to die. They arrived 3 weeks later in a envelope, no packaging. I still don't know how they made it intact, but they did.

I watch the charging process closely, and refuse to leave them charging overnight. If any start acting funny I will get them out of the house.

The living batteries work as good as the high priced joyetech.

It's definately BUYER BEWARE, but I'm happy with the purchase. Don't do it if you're not comfortable.......

My 1st batch of ego style batteries came from Price Angels. I had no issues with them and in fact was able to pass them on. The 2 650's I got from a US based vendor (rebranded, high price) didn't fair as well, both took the heat up plunge, 1 after 3 weeks, the second after 2 months.
Was one of the main reasons I moved away from ego batteries.

That very same thing happened to me. Now all I use are mods with replacable batteries.

Sorry, I'm still new to this. What is the heat up plunge? Thanks!

That's usually caused when something goes awry with the circuitry connecting the battery to the switch or terminals. The thing heats up to the point of being dangerous. It's usually pretty rare, but it does happen.

Abuse probably hastens the demise, too.
