Over There
Mine died.
I love it for the first few months but then it started mis-fireing about 50% of the time. Finally died totally. Customer service is poor. They blamed me for the problem. Repair cost is a flat rate and you pay postage both ways, even if still under warrenty.
It does look good, and is light. I did find the need to use a small screwdriver to change the voltage a real pain in the ...., but then too once I found my sweet spot I pretty much keep it there. Overall I recommend people pass on it, it seems they are either great and work fine or a piece of crap that like me you will toss in a drawer and try and forget.

I own both. The Joker burned out after a month and half.

The buzz is the better choice in my opinion.

2 other VariVolts worth looking at is the Provari and Infinity.

I also have the Prodigy V3 and the Terminator from not cig. The terminator makes most mods varivolt. The good thing about this is if the terminator goes bad you still have a working mod.

I Liked my joker a lot. I put a 510 to 901 adapter on it. I didn't realize there was an adjustable post on the adapter. It stuck out farther than a normal atty so it pushed and broke the center connector on the joker when I tightened it down. The post was a little wobbly to begin with after 3-4 months of use. It is a very nice device but $30 to replace the fitting was steep enough for me to just go and buy a provari. If the buzz uses a similar fitting then this problem is the same for both. It is a good device and both use similar internals. Joker is sleeker and better looking imo. Can't go wrong with either i think.

I have had both the Buzz and currently the Turbo AV(in the Vaporlife family) Very simular mod's. Both high quality, Both use the small set screw (Dont like).

Buzz is a great guy with top notch CS. I have not had a reason to work with VL CS but they do make it clear, the things they cover for how long and what cost will be outside of those parameters. I think you will eventually find a lot of modders protecting themselves in a similar way.

There are so many AV mod's out there now its just a matter of rolling the dice. The good news is that most hold their value pretty well and if you decided to try another they are easily sold on the classifieds.

If its your first AV/VV mod I would recommend getting something with a dial. Then get a set screw device when you have a feel for what is your sweet spot. The set screws are less fun to play with voltage wise.

hope this helps

I have no problem with modders protecting themselves. I appreciate knowing up front what to expect. I would rather not have a warranty at all than get strung along by slippery tactics. My problem with vaprlife is the PV I bought from them was junk from the first day I bought it. It completely broke down 3 times with the SAME problem. It was obviously a defective product. I sent it back twice to be repaired and the third time it broke down was one week after their warranty period. They ignored all my request for a replacement but said they would be happy to fix it even when it was out of warranty, for a fee of course.
Sweet! With this kind of track record my PV won't cost me but $500 for the first year and if I'm lucky I'll get 6 months of use out of it.

VaprLife customer service is terrible.

I ordered a VP1 from them. One of the key features I liked was that you could reverse the battery to run the PV without the LED. When I did this, the PV sent current to the atty without the button even being pressed. It overheated so fast I had to drop it and then use a cloth to unscrew the battery cap. I sent them 2 emails before getting any response. The response I did get was:
Unfortunately- due to a change in design meant to accommodate
all of the various atomizers and cartomizers- we were forced
to drop the reverse protection feature several months ago.

As a result- you can no longer reverse the batteries
for 'stealth' mode in any of our units.

I've sent 2 more emails since then asking if I could return the device or upgrade to one that at least has reverse battery protection, and still no responses.

I will not be buying anything from them again, and will never recommend them to anyone.

The Joker AV sucks big time and the customer service even more! 6 days to get an answer on a DOA unit, followed by two days of stonewalling and snotty answers, then a guarantee that I would get a five day turnaround on a repair for which I was going to get socked for the postage again. I pulled the plug and was told by the "nice lady" on a Thursday that I had until Saturday to return it so I had to have my daughter run by the house to get it out.

Oh yes, I also had to pay a 15% restocking fee. Cost me over $40 for something that could not get one decent vape out of. I have had better CS and products from everybody else.

There have been issues with other vendors, but they were resolved quickly and courteously.

The batteries they supplied suck as well. Very, very weak batteries for such a big mod.
