The City of Sacramento is in the early stages of considering an ordinance that would restrict/ban the sale of flavored tobacco and vapor products. A public hearing on this proposal is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, August 28th, 5:00 PM. (This date is subject to change. Please make sure you are signed up with CASAA to receive alerts)

and urge them to reject this proposal!

For the time being, the specifics of the ordinance are not clear. The city has several options that may involve exemptions for certain retailers and/or “buffer zones” from places where young people are present (such as schools and libraries). But what we do know is that Sacramento is seriously considering a flavor ban and the time to get engaged is now.
