What a slippery vape slope I am on! I want to want a reo so bad. And I think I do. But my savings account is very very mad at me. After want ads and low balling perfectly beautiful reos unfairly I realize I'm hesitating because of my recent prothingy experience and my noobness of dripping.

3 mvp's into my journey and loving them I decided to sell a kidney to get a provari. All be it on sale. It arrived. Initially I had the rush of it being a good looker. But I have to admit. It produces the same results vapewise as the mvp. I notice zero difference. If anything some of my favorite juices taste somehow "eh" comparatively. Maybe because I'm using the same toppers? I realize now that I paid mostly for reliability, durability and excellent customer service. I'm thankful for all those things and will be keeping her because of that in our uncertain vapenvironment.

I also have sitting around an innokin iclk, smok sid and kamry x6. All collecting dust feeling like no one will love them even if I try posting them on the classies.

But now. I want a whole new vape experience. I'm just ok at building. I have only recently dabbled in the dripping world. Which I admit tastes so much better even at my beginner level! But am I ready for the Reo? Can I handle the Reo? Please enablers, tell me that this will be a whole new level, bringing all my juices to life and ending my newandshiny syndrome for everything but more reos!

Is this good for someone noobish at building? Would u recommend a mini with smaller bottle size for someone that has some juice attention spam problems and likes to switch 3 or 4 times a day? Or is there another alternative that will be more effective like lots of extra bottles?

Any enabling is appreciated! :)

If you can wrap a coil, you're ready for the reo with the rm2. The provari is an excellent regulated device, probably the best out there in terms of durability and reliability. The problem is not your provari, but what you have on top. I've used a lot of devices and toppers over the last couple of years. Flavor wise, nothing beats a dripper, and when it comes to dripping nothing beats a bottom fed dripper IMHO. I used to go everywhere with my provaris, now they sit at the house and my reos travel everywhere with me.

You don't have to be a building genius to get a fabulous vape with an RM2 on a REO. Many people have first learned to build on RM2s. They have lots of working room and are forgiving with the ceramic base. You can build ugly coils or artistic tight microcoils or anything in-between.

As for size of REO, I have OG minis and a grand. I'd say get a grand. You don't have to fill a 6 ml bottle full. :) But most of us run a couple REOs for different flavor profiles.

Most of us here would say it will end your need for new vape gear. I don't have shiny-itis because REOs are just that good and reliable.

Pics when you get it!

Get spare bottles and change them when you want. It is quick and simple.

There are so many good reasons to get a REO but if you are tired of muted flavors and fiddling with stuff to get a good consistent vape then I would say you are ready. I can't imagine it getting any better. Take if from a guy that went through all the new cool toys before finding my way here. Take the plunge with a REO/RM2 combo and enjoy.

I feel you.

You're at a crossroads.

In one direction, you can obsess/collect/tune dripping toppers for your provari (or tube mech), and you'll get a more and more refined vaping experience. For many experienced vapers that's the path to nirvana.

In the other direction is the Reo. Simple, oh so simple. Dependable. Top tier performance. Durable. Best of all, it's dripping... without the dripping. For most (if not all) of us it's our end state - one which has taken some of us a long time to achieve (count me among those who's journey has taken them through high end regulated tubes, mechs of all descriptions, and far too many atties and tanks to remember without writing them down). We're home. Heck, we even give it a name - Reoville - and I haven't ever heard of anyone leaving town.

Know, as well, that you wouldn't just be getting a Reo, you'd be getting us - THE best group on ECF. We celebrate every Reo given a new home and applaud every Reonaut who cares to show it off. We help each other through any issue and honestly want to improve the vape experience for all.

This cultural tone has been established by the Reo's creator, who's integrity and devotion to this community inspires us help take up the torch. That's not just special on this board, it's a special thing in life.

So I only have one question for you... are you still reading this or have you placed your order yet? We'd love to welcome you to our home.

Man. You moved me. Thank you for the time and consideration to write such a thoughtful reply!! I mean you really moved me. Right into Reoville. What you wrote so hit home! Currently on its way is not one but two clone RDA's and more misc stuff I'll probably cycle through a few times and put away. That 50 dollars could have bought me so many extra bottles and springs!

I am ready.

I will be a Reonaut. Hopefully Monday ish if it is still correct that Reos ship mon, weds, fri.

Thank you alllll for the amazing responses and encouragement.

Rob, please don't send me a pregnant one. Tie it's tubes (ha) or whatever you have to do. The mortgage is coming due and this is the last child I can afford for a long time! :)

Hello to all. I'm Becky, 30, nurse, ex smoker, crazy cat lady, moving in next door!

Man. You moved me.

What can I say? Drinking absinthe makes me maudlin (kidding... I'm kidding).

A hearty "welcome" in two parts - one for turning the corner today, the other will be deferred until your little beauty arrives and you post some pics. We love pics. Plus, it's kind of a tradition with us.

Feel free to update us with posts regarding your anticipation (we live vicariously through that) and make sure to check out all the great resource links in the Reo area. Here's a good one to get you started (by one of the grand Reo masters):

So hey, Becky, be seeing you (and your cat) around :toast:

On a practical level, for your first Reo I would go for a full size Grand. I know what you said about the attention span thing - me too - but there is no good reason to dumb down the size of the Reo to accommodate flavor changing. It's easy to simply swap bottles, or only half fill a 6 ml bottle. That, and you can always leave the liquid in there, don't squonk it (a hard thing to do once it's force of habit) and just drip a different liquid into the Reomizer instead. Mind you, all of this changing things will get you some flavor mixing but most times (for me) that's a good thing. :)

Then there's that other horribly practical matter of getting the longest run time with an 18650 battery in the Grand. May not matter so much if you are at home a lot, might be easier if you are away from a charger for long stretches.

Don't get me wrong - I like my mini's. But the Grands get the most use.

Do not fear the Reomizer. One of the easiest things to build a coil for and get into place.

I went with the LP grand. Hopefully I won't regret that by oversquonking all over the place. I figured that will give me some room to grow and more options! Hopefully the learning curve will be quick and not too messy :)

Side question, does Rob ever sell just doors? I have this deep seeded urge to collect allllll the doors.

And for all your viewing pleasures, allow me to introduce, Chloe. Named after Clark Kent's genius sidekick on Smallville. She's obviously anxiously awaiting vape mail.

Becky, the move to REOville, is way easier than it seems from reading. You can make a coil most any way you want, and as long as it's not shorted, it'll work!

And yes, Robert does sell doors, he has a whole section for blemished doors (if you can find the "blemishes", your eyes are better than most of ours). 9 out of 10 (roughly) new reonauts, will make the comment "I don't know why I waited so long"...generally on the first day.

Don't forget, you either 1) Need to be home to sign for it, or 2) Fill out a slip with the PO before hand. Also, if you don't have them already, treat yourself to either AW IMR 18650's (1600 mah), or the Sony VTC5's. The difference between those and "other" batteries is quite noticable, plus they can safely handle way down in the .3 ohm(ish) range, although most folks find 1.0 ohm and above to be their sweet spot. (I'm a 1.6-1.8 kinda guy myself).

And prepare yourself to get used to just plopping in a fresh battery in the morning, a full bottle of juice, and THEN, just vape it, ALL day long. Okay, if you're "hard core", maybe a fresh battery in the evening, for that super fine after dinner vape :)

Your wait will be AGONIZING, but we feel it with you. And while you wait you can hang out, read, ask questions. We never get tired of encouraging new REOnauts.

You don't know it yet, but getting a REO is the best vaping decision you've EVAH made :)

WHAT COLOR!? WHAT COLOR!?

Doors is available - right on the sight. Oh gee, now you made me go look it up. Here: Doors metal mods
Being a enabler sure is a lotta work. :D

Oh my, I missed the most important part! It's white with black wrinkle door. Aluminum button cover and extra bottle. I do need to get me some 18650's once I read up on some reliable sources for AW batts. Got some fake 18490s for the provari on ebay :/
If it comes on Monday or Tuesday I'll be home. In a lawn chair. Next to the mailbox. Although, I work nights, so sleeping until reo completion without worry of not hearing the doorbell is tempting. Tell me more about how I can tell mr mailman it's ok to leave it please?

I see the doors but they are all metal. I have dreams of white with metallic purple door, green door, blue door, allllllll the doors. And drip tips! To match/complement my outfit! Nail polish! Ohhhh I'm getting carried away. And losing the manly men of reoville to my girly color coordinating outburst. Eeeek! Is it here yet?!?!

White with black wrinkle - slick combination.

I forgot about the color doors. Blemished versions show up here: http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=40&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=3

But whenever there is something you want or need and you see "out of stock" on the web site all you do is PM Rob from here or e-mail him via the web site and ask.

Trusted place to get batteries? A lot of us use: Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor Legitimate AW battery supplier. And everything else.

You need to go to the Post Orifice and there is a slip you pick up and fill out regarding signing to have the item left in your mail box. Someone else will heed to help out here - I don't remember what the slip is called or if you can do it on-line.

Tip: "Why won't my button cover stay on?" aka "What the heck is that tiny piece of string I threw away?" It's actually dental floss. To get your button cover to stay on you lay that piece of floss across the button and press the cover into place. That wedges things together. Don't super glue the button cover on - it needs to come off if repairs are ever needed.

Oh and reomizer. I think 2.0. I hope! It just said low profile reomizer?

2.0 is good. And it has to be a low profile version for the Grand you selected so it sounds like you got it all right.

One last point about the order process: The tracking number for your shipment is handled through your PayPal account. PayPal should be able to notify you when a tracking number is assigned but that PP "feature" (grrr...) hasn't been working for a long time. It's a PP thing, not a Reos thing.

So you will have to check in on your PP account to get the tracking number once it's been assigned. It will show up on the details section for the transaction. Then you can begin practicing your stalking and pouncing. Ask kitty for pointers!
