Calling all writers (these idea's just hit me)

Alright so we have the name "5/10", we have ChellyNelly who will do the proof before it goes into "printing" (pdf making), and a translator (for french), we have dark side for recipes, this is going to be good

PM'ing you my personal email (since I don't go on this forum that often).

Depending on the size of the publication, I could translate it 100%, or just translate the "main" stuff. We could write at the end of the article: "for the french article, go to page ___".

Some ideas for sections:
-Editor's vape-of-the-month (or week, depending on the frequency!)
-Vendor's focus (interview, a little history about a vendor, how he came to do what he does, etc etc)
-juice recipe (would be good to include a few)
-DIY's Corner
-What's new? (new models)
-Calendar (scheduled meets, vendors getting new stuff, etc)
-French section (imma give a shout out to my french buddys on the quebec forum)

I was just mulling over the idea of collecting success stories that could possibly be used in the fight with HC one day, so I think every issue should include some that can be compiled in the future, polls, stats, etc.

I am a Graphic Print Production Artist - can do any type of layout in InDesign, (excellent typesetting skills, etc.) that can be converted to PDF, but don't want to design anything from scratch, way too busy.

exactly, and being the first of it's kind idea in the community is a good way to beta test said idea right here in Canada before offering it on a larger scale

Sure, I could probably contribute something provided it's a monthly publication. (Which I'd think you'd want it to be -- it's a lotta work putting a quality 'zine together. ) Maybe something on mods, or hacks, technical articles, or whatever I'm needed for or strikes my fancy perhaps. Could I offer a few suggestions for regular columns, just to kind of tie everything together? Just ideas to throw out there.

- A Q&A section where questions are asked and answered, especially for newbies for the simpler questions (more complicated questions can get their own articles).

- A "Noob of the Month" section (which sounds kind of rude, that's not its actual title) where a newbie (which we'll say is maybe someone who is 0-3 months into it) can write about their experiences so far and what they've learned about themselves and vaping in general in the time they've been at it.

- Other "...of the Month" type articles that could serve as filler/short reviews of maybe a Juice of the Month or Hardware of the Month or something.

- A DIY juice section for recipes, tips, tricks, etc.

- General interest articles on things like the state of vaping in particular places (legality issues, efforts to legalize, etc.)

- A reactions piece where people can write in about how others have reacted to their vaping, the hardware, etc.

- Occasional pieces on E-cigs and vaping in the mass media

- Articles on health and safety (proper battery care, how to choose a "safe" mod, pieces on E-liquid ingredients, etc.)

Just a few various ideas...

What a fabulous idea! I just started vaping a couple weeks ago and would have appreciated a how to book. The forum is great but hours are spent going through the information and to have it condensed into one little package would be helpful. If there is anything I can do, let me know...

Any good cartoonists out there? Does anyone remember Mr. Hedd (pronounced head) created by Rand Holmes? Holmes was from Vancouver. All about the herb culture. It was very funny. Something along those lines.

letters to the editor/comments will be in Letters and comments seeing as this is the first issue, and if you want to be a regular writer for the ezine, then this space is going to be used for where you can write something personal

myself: Final production, free advertising, distribution: (and i am trying to figure out where i can add my own writing two cents.....i am one who would never ask anyone to undertake something i am not willing to do myself )

So far this is what i got in mind, it may/may not appear as much, but this is a huge undertaking and being powered by volunteer hours, lets see how the shared load goes, and if we need to add/remove more

I have made.....correction, there is someone that made a excellent 84 page "primer" of e-cigarette's here on the forum, i took my time and copied all 6 sections and made a pdf for it. I think i still have it, so if you are interested in that let me know via pm your email address and i will pass it on. Of course all credit goes to that person for compiling and writing it

For a printed version, this is where it is going to be tricky, as if we have vendors section, i think that would need to be cut out, as we have to fly under the HC radar still (sadly)

When i said chief editor, i meant the reviewing, grammar, spell check etc But i thought of something that we could add, if you want.....Pimp my vape where we could show case peoples set ups, pv's what have you

I used to be a hardware/gadget reviewer online that brought a site that had 60k hits in the 6 months it was online before me to millions of hits per month.

I can write good artickels but wood need a grahmar and speeling chexer... seriously though good at writing things not good with proper language.
