Yes, pretending can definitely cheapen and lessen the experience of wholesale suicide.

Love how this guy is all bummed and shedding tears because people want safer ways to be addicted without the ridiculous amount of carcinogens and chemicals. I mean really guys, God forbid! GET OUT THERE AND SMOKE INSTEAD so this poor sucker doesn't have to get all misty about going out of business.

Yah...apparently too many people were starting brushfires along roads by ditching their cigarettes out windows. Of course, they say it is because people light their beds on fire when they fall asleep smoking in bed.

This forum definitely is partial proof that we are social creatures, the full proof is what happens when two people who vape meet on the streets. ^_^

Lol, can't "tell tall tales". If lying your ... off to people while smoking a cigar is camaraderie, then I'm kinda glad it's hurting his business.

I'm guessing they shoved the ecig box into that twits hands and said here, you've got 5 mins till air, learn what this is for your piece. Ah well, informed and media are two of those words that tend to not mesh well together.

I guess it's a NC channel by the tobacco leaning biased opinion, otherwise I'd be amazed they were giving a damn about his business of selling people cancer and disease with a clear conscience and not stressing health risk issues in the slightest, while he whines about his poor profits and the missing element of conversation.. that apparently can't be done unless you smoke tobacco from his store.

Does this make sense to anyone?
"A new chemical was recently added to the paper of cigarettes to make them fire safe."
o0

In a statement to the press, an executive of big tobacco said, "Hey, there's already so many freakin chemicals in cigarettes, what's one more? Do you really think anybody will even notice?"

Given the track record of cigarettes.. I don't think they really gave a damn.

Not to mention that with the FSC (fire safe cigs), the 'cherry' often burrows a tunnel into the cig, burning unevenly, then reemerging to cause a big chunk of burning cig wad to fall off eventually, onto God knows what...

Well to be fair - the guy who used to live above me set his flat (actually the matress he was using as makeshift bed) on fire when he did just that very thing - luckily it wasnt a BIG fire and no-one was hurt - in fact the fire dept made more mess with the water; but yeah -personal experience with that one.
Definitely agree on the social side - maybe smokers are forced to be more social as everyone else apparently hates us.

Cheapen the experience?

Yeah, I guess they are cheaper than cigarettes! LOL!

hmmm...I was out with my hubby and friends Saturday night, sitting at the bar and vaping. I conversed with so many people who were interested in my ecig! If you want to get out and be social, an ecig will make you more friends than standing outside having a smoke will!

So, this is tobacco's weapon against ecigs? It's not like the real thing? LOL!

Sorry, but vaping doesn't take away from the social aspect of smoking. If anything, it adds more people to your social circle!

I'm not trying to imply that that doesn't happen, I've known several people who have either set their bed on fire or set a chair on fire or something to that effect...I'm just implying that they don't really care about that.

Hell, I set my shirt on fire once.. lost track of my cherry, thought it was just out in the street.. went back inside my local comic store. Suddenly the bottom part of the back of my shirt was burning up... quickly.

Not the most pleasant experience, but the owner laughed so hard he gave me 10% off as a "fire sale" discount. :D

Glad I never have that problem anymore.
