Alright guys and gals, been on here for awhile now and finally decided to post here so i can start posting elsewhere on this great site. well not too great cause i'm starting to spend to much money on more toys ;)

well here it is, been smoking for 20 years. couple of years back I tried vaping with the cheap quickie mart type, didn't work, went back to smoking. Then my brother bought a set of joytechs. I took a battery from him and starting dripping. work for a couple days then stopped cause got tired of dripping. Well this time around I'm back for good (I hope) cause of all the tanks and clearos that you can get to make vaping so convenient. Since then, been going a 2 months strong and cant be more happy. i did have a cig or 2 when i drink to much and everyone around me is smoking :). But beside that cant be more happy about it.

Hello. Glad to know we're on the same boat. I just started vaping and I do have a few cigarettes here and there but definitely way less than how much I used to smoke. I do believe that it is an on going process. I can't wait for the time when the taste of cigarettes just disgustes me. Cheers and happy vaping :D

Great job. I started vaping back in 2010 and did so for about 9 months before a stressful period got me back on the stinkies. I smoked for almost a year and am now back to vaping and love it. This time I've found e-pipes and love em. If only I could get my wife to commit to vaping we would be smoke free forever.

thanks for the support everyone. Ricisking, it is a process of quitting the stinkies for good. But i have came to a conclusion that i probably never quit them for good since everyone around me still smokes. i'll be content with having a cig here and there for social occasion only but not truly smoking again. Today was a sad day for me though. Both of my ego's took ***t. One of them 2 days ago and one this morning. So unfortunately i had to go buy a pack cause i still cant get though a day without my nic and theres no vape shops around me. Good news is, it gave me a reason to pick up a Provari when i get back to L.A. :)

Welcome to ECF and back to the vape side of things!

Giving up smokes, even with the help of e-cigs, can be TOUGH! Just take a look at my join date over there to the left... now look at my banner in the signature. It CAN be done though. I struggled for a month smoking one "here" and one "there"... They didn't truly start to taste disgusting until I had gone a couple of days without *any*.

I know you didn't ask for advice so if you aren't interested, that's ok too. Stop reading here! ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

StevesCVO *nailed it*. E-cigs only work when they work and you have them on you. Back ups for backups and maybe backups for them too. A lanyard for my ego style batteries meant I had to quit using the excuse "I forgot it somewhere... let me have a smoke."

Strong enough nicotine. I quit smoking cigarettes, for the *last time*, using 36mg nicotine, the strongest I could find locally. It made me sick after puffing away at it for a couple of days so opened a bottle of 24mg and passed the strong stuff on to my wife. She quit a week after me the same way and we gave the rest of THAT bottle to friend. He's got at least a week under his belt now.

For me? This last time I made up my mind *no tobacco flavored juice* and *no menthol flavors* (I used to smoke menthols.) Find a juice you like the taste of *better* than cigarettes, at least for the first week or two.

Best of luck!

Good luck on quitting. Remeber to always have back ups for your back ups.
Lol "so you learn"- george lopez- and i learned the hard way. Thats why i went out and bought the best this time. But just liike any electronics it can still fail. Thats why im gonna go get a couple of ego twist for back ups.
