For example, I was vaping my mech mod w/ an RBA and all of a sudden it was vaping really weak. I tried cleaning all the contacts and replacing coils and it was still very weak. Eventually I was able to get a hold of my brothers RBA and tested it on my mod and it made a loud pop and then all of a sudden when I vaped it it vaped really well. Then I installed my RBA back on my mod and it started working again like nothing ever happened.

Is there a thread or can anyone explain why this happened?

I have a copper signum mod pinoy made its bad ... but I do have to clean it. I drop copper parts into white vinegar and clean the brass with brass cleaner then alcohol. Not that im vaping the contacts but just cause. I have seen a much different voltage drop after cleaning it all up. Think old spark plugs and then a new set smooths out the engine a little you know. Look like I just got the thing even though its from their first run.

When this sort of thing happens to me I break out the DMM and start testing stuff. Look for high resistance in the switch or the 510 connection. If you find that, fix it and the problem is solved.

It is possible that when you switched attys a bad connection was fixed and the problem was solved.

If this happens again, check things out and see what you can figure out.

Vape on :)

Clean your threads, contacts, and connector switch with rubbing alcohol. Let dry, and give it a thorough once-over with a soft toothbrush. What mod are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks guys! It was definitely the threads on both the atty and my mod (aluminum/brass v3 clone). I guess when I switched attys it removed some of the corrosion and got it firing again. I cleaned everything up via alcohol and an old toothbrush and it's working better but it still misfires now and then and I'm reading from here that the Aluminum from telescopic mods tend to corrode pretty quickly, so I should invest in some conductive grease like NO OX ID A-Special.

Are there any alternatives to Sanchem NO OX? I can't seem to find any locally.

If it is a telescoping mod that's one thing to watch for with sliding contact; I doubt that was the case in this instance but it's an issue to watch for.
