can anyone else in Minnesota (or other very cold mid west areas) relate to this right now?

recently if I take my carto tanks or clearos with me to work for the commute (and occasional breaks for a quick vape in the restroom) during this GOD AWFUL cold spell my stuff leaks like crazy due to the temp changes from warm apartment, cold outdoors and cold car when its trying to warm up in to warm office etc. I've been using my single boge cartos on my vision spinner to avoid any more mess but even my cartos are dry and losing flavor fast. It has been below zero for weeks on average in the twin cities and its not supposed to stop anytime soon. What are other ppl doing right now during this freeze out?

Same here. Everything leaks in the cold weather. I need to invent something like a pouch to keep my ecigs warm and toasty. :) I haven't figured it out yet but living in WI and below zero temps this is a pain in the .....

I think I will design a insulated type of pouch. I just need to find the right material. The concept would be keeping the ecig cool during summer and warm during the winter.

Lol Ashabrown, I heard this Sunday/Monday it's gonna drop to like -20°F before factoring in windchill. Cold really isn't an issue for me, I vape outside my workplace in the freezing cold but because I use a dripper I haven't had any issues. Don't get any weird leaking because you control exactly how much liquid is inside the RDA via manual application. Takes practice to get it perfect but once you do, no leakage ever.

Has nothing to do with the cold, just how I prefer to vape, but it is an added benefit.

Either way, stay warm!! I know I will be (trying to)

For Bottom coil clearos, or for carto's keep them upside down.
For top coil clearos, keep right side up.

Just a thought. Is it possible that the little rubber tip, on top of the coil, is shrinking/contracting when it gets cold. Therefore, it "breaks away" from the drip tip causing it to leak? I would check the o rings or whatever it might be that could possibly contract.
Idk, it's 65 here and sunny in Vegas. Sorry y'all!!

From where I'm setting... I'm just down the road from you a few miles or so...
and without the wind chill factored in... it's 11 degrees below zero...
and this very old man... just doesn't have a hankering to go outside and run a few tests...
to see how I can help... get your cartos working better... hope you'll excuse me...

I live in Minnesota but I haven't had any leaking issues, but for the past week my car vape has been a Smok Dual Coil Mega XL carto instead of a carto tank, and I've been bringing that inside with me to keep it warm.

Just yesterday I got a new eGo-C 1000 mAh spinner in stainless steel. I left it in the car (in my heated garage!) and when I went back out I kind of regretted getting one in stainless it was so cold to the touch!

I know its crazy with the weather, even in MA. For the temp changes and helping with the leaks the best thing you can do is get a bottom feeder like a Reo or vmod and top it with a drip atomizer or carto, but preferably drip atomizer, then you just squeeze in what you will use at the time and the rest stays in the bottle. If you use a tank keep it near full, the liquid will cool/warm more slowly than air so you get less leakage as well

I smoked coffin nails for more than 40 years. All of my shirts have a pocket - even the T's. PV goes into the pocket, I suit up depending on how cold the weather is. Reach into my coat/insulated coveralls, vape, and put it back. Have to keep it warm! Insulators, O-rings, etcetera shrink when cold allowing juice to leak out.
