can anyone recommend an ecig with very good throat hit?

I've tried multiple types, the "best" i've found are the vapor4lifes which still don't come anywhere near as good as a real cigarette. I bought the juicebox, I have all sorts of otherones as well. It' slike breathing in air, zero satisfaction from it, and I've bought at least 7 different types of ecigarettes. I've let other people try them and they say it does nothing for them as well.

Either I'm doing something wrong, or there's better out there?

Any recommendations? or even if not on products, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

E-cigarettes are the best thing for quitting cigarettes. You really have to want to quit smoking before you start e-cigs. there are alot of ecig liquids out there to try. good and bad. if you want great throat hit, you need high voltage mods.
its not the ecigs your having problems with, its the eliquid and you need higher voltage mod.

Ways to get more throat hit
1. try Low Resistance atomizer on your current setup. Small battery ecigs may not have the amps for an LR atty
2. Higher nic level will give more throat hit. I started on 16mg - not enough for me 36/48mg for 3+ months was what got me off analogs.
3. 2 battery 3.7v mods will give a better TH than an single battery ecig, same atty, same juice.
4. bigger or IMR batteries, not necessarily more mah, may push more amps, for example AW IMR batteries
5. High voltage mods

Like the others have said, you can use LR attys to get a harder, warmer throat hit.

But consider this too if you don't like the short life LR attys: try a 5 volt passthrough and wall plug from MadVapes. It hits like a truck and gives you tons of warn vapor and flavor. It's very cheap too- like $27 for the 2 items. It used regular attys. If you do get it, reinforce the 2 ends of the cord w/electrical tape so there's no wiggle room. Mine has lasted for months because I did that

I went through a learning curve when I started too, I think we all do.I settled on a silver bullet from altsmoke and use two 123a protected 3v batts in it (not recommended by vendor). I also use a HR atty and direct drip. Throat hit and vapor is very nice. I have been analog free for 17 months now. If you try this setup do not attempt it with a LR atty because it will destroy it almost immediately at that power. Also a menthol or cinnamon type of flavor hits harder than many others. Atomic cinnamon or mutts fire and ice are two examples-good luck

Any recommendations on a specific battery portable one, for going to a bar with? When people say "mods" does that mean you literally have to modify it? I'm not very good with electronics nor have much understanding of electronics either so the prior recommendations kind of went in one ear and out the other.

I just went to that website, I' mso clueless on this, if I get that $17 5 volt passthru, that doesn't come with an atomizer, right? which ones go with it? I've been used to buying starter kits where it comes wiht everything.

Before changing your hardware, try changing your eliquid, and the way you vape. First, if you aren't getting enough nicotine (if you are a heavy smoker), try upping the nic level of your eliquid. Second, if throat hit is what you desire, higher nic, and a higher PG percentage, and maybe sharper (for lack of a better word) flavors, and/or TH enhancers (including but not limited to PGA) might do the trick. Also, don't hit your PV like you would a cigarette, take long (8-12 second) drags, but don't suck too hard, give the atty/carto coil a chance to heat up.

You may or may not need to upgrade to a higher voltage or LR atty/cartos. I vape a 510 (3.7 volt) with regular OHM atties/clearomizers, and while I'm not looking for too strong of a TH, I do get some. Others I know use higher capacity batteries (recommended, but not necessary) like the eGo, and even with higher resistance clearomizers, still get a good TH.

IMO, and without having tried higher voltage, most people I see complaining about burnt tastes are those using high voltage and/or LR. Though I suspect that those particular vapers aren't using the optimal combination of equipment and juice.

Since you're already invested in equipment, try modifying your juice and vaping technique first.

How many V4L batts do you have? What mah and how old are they? Sometimes they can have too airy of a draw and there are fixes for that. Are you using V4L cartos? Pre-filled or blank? What mg of nic and what flavors have you tried? V4L's wow peppermint juice has the strongest TH of any of their juices. TV's atomic cinnacide is the strongest TH juice, period, for me. Have you tried either of those?

Sorry for the delay, went away for the holiday. I've had 5-7 batteries from V4L. I my latest one is the long length stealth one. I use their WOW cartomizers. I always buy 36 mg. None of my batteries are more than a year old I think. They all function about the same. I have tried the deeper inhales on them, but there's no middle ground. It's nothing or overwhelming, whereas a real cigarette isn't that way.

I just got the bloog and I like it better but it's still not as good as real one. I'll check into the other suggestions you guys have been making. I just don't understand the electronics stuff.
