You can't go wrong with the Kanger Evod or Protanks. I don't need super capacity or glass. I avoid liquids that don't play well with plastic. To me if it reacts with plastic, then it's probably less okay for me to inhale.

With the Evod or Protank, you can replace just the coil for about $1.25. Every time you replace the coil, it's like getting a whole new top.

On occasion, you get a bit of leaking into the draw chamber, but it's an easy fix. I just unscrew the whole top and blow from the bottom while catching the excess juice in a paper towel. As long as I'm regularly using my vape, I don't have the problem.

I see a lot of people chiming in for Kanger but I also see a lot of large threads about problems with them, so I went with Smoketech. I have the ARO and will be getting the Pyrex version next, they also have the Trophy, Tumbler,RBC,PBC,PBC V2,and NBC. They all take the same coils, the only real difference is the shape and capacity. I've had no problems what so ever with my ARO and unless something new comes out that is light-years ahead I don't plan on changing.

+1 for J-tanks. Mine are all over two years old, and even still have the original O-rings in them.

I'm happy with my Kanger Protank 2s.

I am with EvilZoe. As far as Clearomizer tanks go, the new Protank 2s are great tanks. If you want to spend a bit less and have a decent tank the Kanger T3s is a good alternative. Of the two, PT2>T3S because Glass>plastic, IMO. Both are good choices depending on how much you want to spend.

One more thing should be said here:

If you're getting a burnt taste soon after you start chugging away on a freshly fillled tank, you likely didn't let the tank sit long enough after filling before firing it up. All these tanks(really they're called clearomizers), especially the BCC's, need anywhere from five to twenty minutes to fully saturate with juice. The drier the coil/wick, the longer this might take, which means fresher ones need the longest pre-vape soak. If you don't do this, you may get a burnt hit immediately, or somewhat later when the wick hits a dry spot.

When I was vaping clearomizers regularly I used to pop open a fresh wick/coil assembly about 2 days after starting the current one, give it a few drops of liquid and let it sit on its side in its open package. Wife says I have a long undiagnosed OCD (among other things), so go figure.

The cutie is a top coil tank. Reason why you're getting burnt taste and dry hits is that the wicks are really short and you will need to keep the tank tilted. This will allow the short wicks to soak up more liquid. This applies to any top coil tanks.

The metallic taste you get from what I think is a CE8 is due to a mesh wick. Have the same one and don't care too much for the flavor.

Kanger pro tank 2 is a great choice and you can even recoil your own wicks when your need to change them.

I've given a good try to all the most popular other than the Davide, and so far my favorite is the Vapeonly Mega BCC. I just really like the vape I get from it.

I actually prefer top coil as I like a warmer, tighter vape and i find i get better vapour production from them as well. Iclears are good to me.

Not taking away from the protank though, its always in rotation. I use maybe 5 different ones in a day and usually switch a few out the next day and keep about 8 different in rotation (Iclear 16, 30, protank mini, protank, vision eternity, mini nova, evod and vapeonly mega with the odd ce5 thrown in). I like them all for different purposes and juices. But the vapeonly mega bcc is the best all around imo. Oh, and i really like the evod as well. Feels like a nice cross between the consistency of a bottom coil and the vape of a top coil.

I really like my Kanger Protanks because they are pyrex so my usual juices do not crack them; they hold quite a bit of juice; the coil replacements can be purchased for $1-2 in different ohm resistances to suit personal preference and you can even rebuild the coils you have on hand fairly easily with a bit of practice. I rarely use the plastic clearos because I find them more expensive in the long run for a product that is designed to be disposable, IMO.
