Can anyone tell me if this is safe?

So I just bought a new passthrough. Its a VV single unit passthrough (no disconnectable battery) it ranges from 3.2v - 4.7v. My question is can I use the adapter for my cellphone which is 5v 1.0A 100-240v to plug the usb into, and then plug the passthrough into a wall outlet?

You can, but it might not work too well and risk burning out the AC adapter. Reason is, let's say you're vaping 4 volts on a 2 ohm device. The current draw at that point would be 2 amps, which is twice as much as the AC adapter is rated. The output voltage would probably sag below 5 volts and the adapter may get hot or stop working eventually. Best to get a wall adapter rated for at least 2 amps if you want to use a passthrough w/o battery. With that passthrough, you should make sure that ANY usb port you use can supply sufficient current.

so it seems like a bad idea to run anything that is over 1 amp through this adapter?
