Leave 'em plugged in?

I've got my passthrough plugged in to the front USB port on my pc. Should I leave it plugged in all the time or only plug it in when I use it? Same question for a PCC. I've got a 5v wall outlet coming so I can use the passthrough near my chair when I'm watching tv; can I leave my passthrough plugged in to that?

I always unplug mine if I leave the area.They can and do explode and it's better to just unplug them it only takes a second to plug them in again.
