Can batts get damaged from dropping mod?

I didn't think it could happen, but my brother dropped his mod on carpet and after that, the led on his mod would flicker when he hit the button to fire the atty. He changed the batts and his other set work fine. They are the ultrafire 123a batts.

A battery like the ego clone I had did not survice a 2 foof fall onto a wook floor . A battery like that with electronics inside is more likely to get damaged . A true ego battery might have done better . A mod battery with a protection circuit in the battery would be faily hard to damage .

I've only had a bit of the outer coating come off from dropping a mod. I've never had the batteries stop working, or a mod stop working. (thankfully)
