Hi maybe a silly question. but wanted to try.. Can i add a base to liquid what is already premixed with flavour aspecially Lemon drop liquids (they are so sweet)? I know it can get a little faint, but i want it to get a little less intense.. How much base should i add to a 60ml bottle of Lemon drop E juice? What about 20 ml, will it work?

Hello and welcome to ECF. :)

Yes you can add base to an existing juice to cut its flavor intensity.

How much to add to satisfy Your Personal Tastes??? No one can tell you that. Only you can figure that out.

You say you want it to be "less intense" - - - how much less? - - - 50%, 25%, 10% etc.

You'll need to start somewhere - - - where is totally up to you.

As an Example: take 50% of your lemon drop liquid, or 30mls, pour it into a bottle and then add 50%/30mls base. Vape it and go from there. That is the Only Way You are going to figure this out.

Good luck!!!

20mls is a ton. Way too much to add to a 60ml bottle. It probably only has 7-10mls of flavoring total already. Your best bet is to go to one of the ejuice calculators and figure it out that way.
Also, I do not know what you mean by a "base"
If you already have a base made, I would not go above 1ml to start and then taste it.
If you do not have a base made and just want to add a flavoring, you would have to be familiar with one to make sure you are not adding more sweetness to it.
And YES you will be muting and throwing off the whole thing.

You are not understanding Shock's post.

Shock is not at all talking about adding flavoring to his/her juice. Shock wants to REDUCE the flavor intensity of an EXISTING juice.

Also, I do not know what you mean by a "base"

Base in DIY = PG/VG/Nicotine.

I add base often when the flavors become too much. I have small bottles of vg (like from Walmart) that I can squirt a bit into liquids or a drop on the coil that flavor overwhelms or is too sweet. Sometimes I also add a bit of a different flavor to the liquid or the coil to mellow a flavor out (like a pastry, custard or cream).

For me it is like my cooking, a bit of this or a bit of that until it tastes good. No fancy exact measurements for me. It usually does not take much to tone the flavor down.

It is your liquid and you are the boss of it.

My question is this, How do I get lemon to pop more as it seems to lose strength after a week, and if I add more in the beginning, it can overpower everything. I enjoy my recent recipe as a SnV, but down the road it tastes way less lemon-eee

I don’t own any other lemons besides the two I’ve already incorporated into the mix, Lemon Sicily(FA), and Juicy Lemon(Cap). Each one at 2%. I also do not own any sort of lime which I hear would be a big big help. I plan on ordering some soon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for even taking the time to read this.

This is my recipe in case you need this info

    Acytel Pyrazine (0.5%) (TPA) - 0.5%
    Yellow Cake (FW) - 1%
    Cookie (FA) - 1.5%
    Cream Fresh (FA) - 0.5%
    Lemon Sicily (FA) 2%
    Juicy Lemon (Cap) - 2%
    Van Custard V1 (Cap) - 2%
    Van Shisha (Inw) - 0.5%

Total flavorings are at 10% so I can afford a little more if needed, however (to me) it’s perfect if only I could get that lemon to stay put! I’ve tried many many variations of this and this is the best one yet. I’ve taken what I’ve learned from Wayne’s Rhodonite to get my cookie base down, and originally this recipe came from a gentleman named Miroslec. The recipe is called “Lemon Bocaditos”. It used 2 Ingredients, Lemon Sicily (FA) at 4%,and Cookie (FA) at 1%… I have a hard time tasting so I upped the cookie and made my own variation of it to fit my needs. He deserves the credit however. He and Wayne(diyordie).

FA Lemon Sicily is a decent lemon - - - the problem is, it fades quickly. I would recommend purchasing a different lemon flavor, one that doesn't fade.

I don't do much with lemon flavors, so I am not the person to ask.

@Letitia is very ( VERY ) well versed with all the different lemon flavors. A good while back (2021ish) she posted her 4 "go to" lemon flavors. I saved a screenshot of it.

Hopefully Letitia can add any other lemon flavors she's come across since her above post.

Also, if anyone has suggestions on a great cookie base, I’m all ears. That recipe above isn’t set in stone, just an idea. I own a few cookies. Sugar Cookie v1(CAP), Biscuit (Inw), and Cookie (FA). Maybe these 3 together make something spectacular???

For a cookie base, take a look on ELR or ATF and see what others are doing. You have three good cookie flavors, with those you might be able to make a base you like.

Have you SFT'ed each cookie flavor? If not, that is the place to start. Do a 5ml SFT of each flavor and start at 2% for each. Give those time to steep, then try each one. Record detailed notes.

CAP Sugar Cookie v1, FA Cookie and INW Biscuit are all very different tasting cookie flavors. Together in a mix they might be very good or maybe not. It all depends on your specific tastes. Everyone is different.

ETA: I would do INW Biscuit at 1% (see my next post).

Here are some examples of how I would go about creating a cookie base using CAP Sugar Cookie v1, FA Cookie and INW Biscuit.

I would not go over 1.25% with INW Biscuit because it starts to take on a spice note (unless that's desired). That note softens with a good long steep.

Personally, I would add a cream to each one, so it isn't just a dry cookie mix. Something like 1% SSA Clotted Cream or 1% WF Vanilla Cream Extra. Each of those can be taken to 1.5% if a more creamy cookie is desired.

    I would try this........

    FA Cookie 2%
    INW Biscuit 1%
    (+ 1% cream)

    Then I would try.......

    CAP Sugar Cookie at 3%
    FA Cookie 1%
    (+ 1% cream)

    Finally I would try this......

    INW Biscuit 1%
    CAP Sugar Cookie 2% - 3%
    (+ 1% cream)

    Got the idea???

Then if you are adventurous, you could try your hand at using all three in several different mix combinations. Balancing each will be the challenge.

Note: Each mix will require a good 3-4 weeks steep time (cuz, bakery/cream). Generally speaking, all mixes should be steeped for a good amount of time so all the ingredients become miscible.

My current go to lemons are:
    MF lemon
SSA natural lemon, sour lemon, juicy lemon
    VT sour lemon
    FE lemon
    WF lemon custard
    INW lemon, lemon mix
LA and FLV lemonade are both useful as well

I seldom use cookies, use them more as an additive than a cookie.
CAP sugar cookie I use low to add a crispy edge (thanks AngeNZ for that tip)
FA vanilla cookie I use to thicken up a cream base
SSA and WF shortbread cookie make a nice non gram cheesecake base.
