So, I've been checking the vape shops that I come across when I'm out and about towns. Wednesday I had to drive my brother to his new stroke rehab center and came across a new vape shop and found up on their board of flavors one flavor simply listed as "Lemon". This shop is more tobacco, less vaping, but they do carry all the mainstream stuff that sells like the ego twists, and disposable clearomizers and a rather large selection of flavors.
Since I've been trying to find a simple citrus flavor that isn't diluted into any kind of a citrus cream, and they had Lemon listed, I picked it up (it was really inexpensive) but... Unfortunately, while it tastes sort of like lemon, if somebody were to ask me to tell them what it tastes like, I'd have to say that it tastes like what Lemon Pledge (the polishing spray) smells like. Doesn't taste like natural lemon at all, more of a faux lemon but not like a lemon jolly or anything like that.
Anyway, does anybody actually make a simple, strong and natural lemon flavor e-liquid?
Sidenote: I also picked up a "rootbeer" flavor (since it was two 10ml bottles of my choice of flavor for $3.99) and gotta say that the first 10 minutes of vaping the rootbeer it tasted nothing like rootbeer to me, then all of a sudden I got this major blast of rootbeer flavor and now it's been solid rootbeer flavor for the past hour or so. Really surprised as I didn't really expect Rootbeer to be like this, I figured it might be more black licorice like but it's nothing like black licorice at all and tastes almost spot on with either A&W old time Rootbeer or Dad's Rootbeer. More like an "old" style Rootbeer instead of the stuff in the supermarkets.
I've read people talking about letting e-liquids "steep" and am wondering if maybe letting the lemon flavor steep for a week or so might help it out a bit.
I'm almost positive that they make this e-liquid up in the back to order. As I only ordered two 10ml bottles and the guy was in the back room for at least 10 or so minutes. I have a sneaking suspicion that they make the stuff up as people order it as it's their own 50/50 blend and has their name on a simple white label that you can tell was printed on their own printer and not professionally printed. But I was talking to one of the people at Doc Baileys about their Lemon bar liquid and they told me that the lemon flavor seems to drop off as the juice ages and usually the more subtle flavorings tend to drop off as a e-liquid ages so just "steeping" (I'll have to search to see how that is done) it for a week might remove all the lemon flavor unless a week is not long at all even for lemon flavor.
