I must've overlooked the email notice of replies on this thread. I thought I was subscribed.

Thanks so much for the flowers Kathi! (Truckers call compliments "flowers :))

I came back to this thread to ask who has the best/least expensive KR808D-1 batteries. I think the ones I got in my Bull Smoke City Slicker kit are wearing out - I'm having to charge them a lot more often now City Slicker E Cigarette by Bull Smoke | Buy E Cigarette Flavored Cartridges & Two Batteries

I'll look at Smokeless Image first. Still appreciate any/all suggestions, advice, etc. Money is still very tight, so I have to think "inexpensive"

Try cleaning the charger contacts and battery contacts where they meet. With alcohol. Dry thoroughly. A little eliquid on them affects charging greatly.

I usually use a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to maybe once a week to clean the connections. Use just a regular q-tip when it leaks a bit from day-to-day.

Saying "thanks" doesn't seem like enough, so I'm pinching off a little piece of my heart and sending it across the internet to you Mohamed.

    Is this cool or what!?!

Your more than welcome and thanks for putting together a pic. I'm not good with cameras and was running low on time and wanted to get it out the door to you quicker. Let me or anyone else know if you got any questions with the setup...how to fill, etc.

Wow, that is very cool! I'm so happy you've got a nice setup like that. You're going to like it so much better than what you had!

The difference between the egos and cigalikes is like night and day. It's a lot easier to stay off cigarettes with these! Don't you love being able to see how much juice you have?

Oh, I'm not sure if you've read this or not, but be careful of citrus and cinnamon flavors with plastic tanks. Those and a few others melt or crack the plastic. So far, I haven't had that happen to me with any flavors I've tried, but I've stayed away from cinnamon and citrus for that reason.

What a coincidence! I was just about to ask Mohamed if the tanks he sent me were safe with ANY flavor. When I didn't win the auction at eBay, I ordered some e-Smart clearomizers in clear, or no color.

I filled one of them about half full of Wild Cherry E Juice Baker Vapor, took a hit off my Bull Smoke battery, and the clearomizer broke completely off the bottom ring.

But I LOVED that flavor so much that I wrapped a new clearomizer in scotch tape before vaping it. So far it's holding together :D

You must be a mind reader Completely Average. I've read some of the horror stories about breaking off the 510 connector and I thought "can't something else be done?" How about all mods having 510/eGo threading. Then make tanks with eGo threads. That way you're probably not going to break your tank off. I never did get why they make these heeyooje tanks (like the Nautilus) and attach them with this itty-bitty 510 connector. This is why I'm now a fan of Aspire's ET-S BDC glassomizer (looks like an Evod, but glass). Don't have to worry about cinnamon, citrus, etc. and are fully able to be disassembled for cleaning. Hello? Engineering Department? But wait! There's more! They come in stainless, red, green, blue, and lavender (so my wife likes them too). "And, if you're one of the FIRST 20 callers....." just kidding about the last part. Oh, but don't try to unscrew the top section while you have it loaded with juice, or.....it leaks all over the place! (Hope my wife's reading this...ha ha). Just call me Mr. Mop Up. Forgot to mention, though, they only hold about 3ml of juice.

Yeah I haven't had that happen to me either but I should fork over the money and get a few glass tanks. Those watermelon and redbull I've used in the same tank I sent her for about 2 months and no cracking...but I hear the glass tanks give you more of the flavor taste.

Actually I don't recall did I send you any of that 5 layer stuff...that's not fruity at all but I like it...I think I gave you a little bit of that?

The ones I sent you were plastic. They aren't glass. The skinny one I like better. The bigger one seems to have some plastic type taste which is why I suggested maybe washing that one first. That may have been in a PM though. Sorry no glass tanks here yet and if I did I'd probably keep them for my self ;)

Speaking of dropping things...they never drop it with a tank on it as I assume that still may screw up the threading depending on how it lands...but this is what I'm getting next. Probably in spring time around my birthday and when camping season starts.

    E-LVT testing video

Think it's about $100 but very similar to the MVP2 in that it has vv/vw, can charge with usb input power, can charge external device with usb output like cell phone, etc. But it has a replaceable 18650 recharable battery like I use in my vamo. The MVP2 battery can't be replaced. It's also water proof, has led flash light. Very durable can drop and run over with a car ;) Only thing I wish it had was solar panel on sides to recharge in sun while camping.

Anyway I'm pretty sure that's going to be my next big purchase. I just can't justify it until spring time, camping time, birthday present to myself comes around. But that may help clumsy people dropping these things ;). Plus I really like that it takes 18650 batteries I usually have at least 4 of those charged at all times and would last me probably a week or more unless I used it to charge cell phone while camping.

If I ever get that I may be Santa Clause again and give out my last 2 ego's. Although that may be the Easter Bunny in spring not Santa ;)

... watermelon and redbull ... did I send you any of that 5 layer stuff...?
I got watermelon, 5 layer stuff (my sister says smells like rum) and a little bottle of ripe banana. Nothing labeled "red bull". All of them work great in my clearomizers and the green tank you sent me. I like these flavors and have been using them because I need/want the nicotine. (Patches aren't going to work for me. Now I know what "throat hit" means.)

I haven't used the purple tank yet - don't know which is skinnier :)

The ones I sent you were plastic...
10-4. Hate to ask such a newbie question, but what should I buy to use with my FABULOUS new egos that won't 'flavor' break?

Had chest x-ray, arterial blood gas, and spirometry done yesterday (free, thanks to the Good Samaritan Clinic here). Technician said I have a "mild" blockage of some kind in my lungs (can't exhale enough co2), but without doubt, I'll be able to go back to work. Whatever happened to me in IN (respiratory failure, ambulance, etc.,) must have been a fluke or something (imo).

Point is, I may be able to afford a glass or stainless tank before much longer :2cool:

I may have only sent you the watermelon and the 5-layer. Funny you say the 5-layer smells like rum...I vape that one a lot and most people say it smells like maple syrup all though I don't think that's in there. I think it's grahm cracker, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and caramel. That one I wouldn't worry at all about being in plastic tank. It's the high citrus/fruity flavors that I hear crack plastic tanks and the 5 layer is not one of them.

Sorry I didn't send any redbull...that was a cheap flavor from FT https://www.fasttech.com/products/1310927 about $0.10 a ml. I only vape about 4 ml a day so if I was to only use that it would be $0.40 a day...plus the occasional attomizer once a week or so. It's cheap but I really like it. Never tried redbull drink but I like fruitness of it. Anyway I've had no issue with it in a plastic tank. Some juices / flavors like cinnamon and other fruity flavors I guess your not suppose to use in plastic tanks. I haven't ran across any that have ruined my tanks but I've never tried cinnamon either.

I think the purple tank is the skinner one isn't it? One holds like 2.4 ml and the other holds like 4 ml. They got markings on the side to tell you how much they hold. The skinner one in my opinion is the better one. I got 6 of those and I think all of them were decent. The bigger ones I got 6 of and I think 3 out of the 5 I tried seemed to have a bit of harsh flavor when vaping.

Glad to hear that your health is turning more positive as well!

As for "won't flavor break" tanks...I'm not an expert I don't think I've bought the same thing more than once. I usually buy in packs of 5 or so. When I got my gripper I was really impressed with the cartomizers. (The empty cartidges that had cotton you put juice into). But 2 out of the 5 tasted like burnt rubber and just ditched them first time I used them. Unfortunately for me it's been kind of a hit and miss with tank/carto's/attomizers.

Maybe ask in general-e-smoking section. I'd love to find something that isn't as splotchy as my track record.

lol...I just saw you mentioned ripe banana. You mentioned you liked fruit and only reason I sent...I absolutely hated that one ;) Hope you like it if not toss it ;)

Some place on the MT Baker website is a list of tank crackers. I just looked over there, but can't find it. Hopefully someone here knows the link.

For glass tanks, I really like the Kanger Protank Line. I have a first generation mini, and a Protank 3. I really want the Aero though. The look really cool on an ego battery!

I would almost bring disposables. I would hate for the kayak to tip over and lose a $100 mod...just my opinion ;) Not sure if it's water resistant or water proof...but if you lost it in a river it would be hard to find. But yeah if it had solar power it would the best camping mod ever ;) This looks promising though...haven't done enough research to recommend it but looks promsing Amazon.com: Anker 14W Solar Panel Foldable Dual-port Solar Charger for 5V USB-charged Devices Including GPS Units, iPhone, iPad, Android Phones and Android Tablets.: Cell Phones & Accessories

You're probably right. Maybe in a small floating drybag or something. We actually only go on lakes when it isn't windy. Our kayak is more of a canoe type one. It wouldn't be a good kayak for rivers or rough water!

I'll look at that solar panel thingy!

FYI put 2-4 disposables per ziplock bag with 10 cotton balls. Put some carmex or a small Vaseline jar and a lighter in each of those bags. If you want to go old school carry a flint. But cotton balls and carmex/Vaseline or a guaranteed fire starter in any weather condition even if your a noob with a flint. Get 2/3 of the cotton ball with carmex/Vaseline and leave 1/3 dry. One spark will give you a flame for 3-4 mins. More than enough time to get kindle going. Just have twigs and other bigger branches to keep going.

It's the modern day / old school survival mixed in one. You can get these for $2.50 if you shop around http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coghlan-s-Magnesium-Fire-Starter/8586954 They will last you probably 1,000+ fires when using cotton ball method. It's hard to use them with kindle alone in wet weather but dry cotton ball and vaseline takes that out of the picture. You got me side tracked on survival gear but it's a must have I think for kayaking. Lighters sometimes won't work in wet or windy conditions. Plus you can impress your friends by starting a fire without a match ;)

Yeah if you got a chance of tipping over you want a float-able dry bag. At least have fire making tools in float-able bag. Maybe a 100 feet of fish line and and few hooks in those bags. At least 2 and hope you can recover one. I've always been in decent size groups when adventuring but if you only have 2 people and 1 kayak it's one of those better safe than sorry type of things.
