Can I assume the amount of nicotine and actual flavour extract is negligable in my PG/VG calculations?

It depends on how precise you want your nic level and flavoring to be. With that ratio your flavor would actually be 5% of your total mix, with a nic lvl of 7.2 mg. Many flavors need a higher % to fully come thru. Using a calculator is really the best way to go. There are several good ones recommended here in the DIY section.

For example, My nic comes at 72mg/ml in vg, so if I am looking for 50% vg, add 10% nic in vg, then 40% pure VG. My flavours come in PG, so add 10% flavour and 40% PG. Is the small amount of nic and flavour gonna make any difference?

I don't think so. If my flavors are in PG, I count them as PG and my Nic is in VG - I count it as VG. I do it exactly as you stated in your post. :toast:

Surely it would be 10%? These aren't the exact figures I use btw, just wanted to keep it simple for clarity's sake.
