dennism, you might want to order your eliquid with a double, triple or quadruple shot of flavor, if your favorite vendor does this. (Mt. Baker Vapor and a bunch of other do).
Thus, if you order 12 mg./ml. with a quadruple shot of flavor, you could then cut it with your PG/VG mixture to get a 4:1 deal for mere pennies with no flavor dilution.

When I was buying juice (CHEAP stuff) I would cut it by 50% with higher nic unflavored DIY to increase the nic level. While the reduction in flavor was noticeable it really didn't deminish it as much as expected. Still very tastey. I wouldn't bother paying for extra flavor shots until you've tried it for yourself and see what you think.
A "triple shot" may or may not be mathematically accurate
