Can I fill my cartomizer with another e-liquid than the current?

Or is this inadvisable?

Right now, I just have some Deuce-cig grape as my first e-liquid in my brand new e-cig. I don't have a kit or anything where there are other cartomizers laying around. I've ordered some Gandolf, and a sample pack of various other e-liquids from HeathersHeavenlyVapes but am kind of worried about putting Gandolf into the same cartomizer my Grape flavor was in.

I'll likely be getting an extra battery and some cartomizers sooner than later; but I really want to try the Gandolf when it gets here in a couple days.

What should I do?

Yes. It would be best to blow it out, soak in grain alcohol overnight, blow out again, let dry...then refill. You can skip all but the first step but you'll get a mix of the old and new flavor. If the flavors a really different, you'll taste it anyway even with the alcy bath. Oh, and some flavors you just can't get rid of like menthol and cinnamon.

Hi - if you don't blow out or clean your attys in-between flavors, the taste will carry over. Actually, strong tasting juices sometimes carry over anyway. Who knows, you might like Grape Gandalf. I use different clearos for flavors I think kind of go together. For example, I currently have one "stacked" (as I call it) that I think started out with something lightly mint, then I added "Cool Cherry," then raspberry, then peppermint, etc. I've come up with some interesting combos - some good, some not so hot. I do this mostly because I'm too lazy to blow out the attys.

Great! Thx for the reply on that one. So you can soak the cartos in grain alcohol(?); good stuff. I will definitely be doing that then. I want to enjoy the Gandolf in it's purest form. Embarrassingly enough, I don't even know what kind of e-cig I have. I was going to get an eGO-C, but decided a few days ago to just stop by my local shop and see what they had. Something called an "Element". It looks like a joye eGO. The case just says ECG (Electronic Cigarette Generation). Oh well -- I will likely still pick up the eGO-C. I just wanted to get off the analogs immediately the day I stopped by the local shop.

The carto is a clear 1.6 ml unit.

Also a novice question -- what exactly is "blowing out"? I'm assuming that doesn't just mean blowing in your cartomizer lol.

You hold the atty in a tissue and blow the juice out through the thread end. If that makes sense. I should have clarified that this is if you're just using an atty, like dripping (I was thinking about flavors, not exactly what you asked  ) Since I only use cartos in tanks and throw them out when they die, I should have kept my mouth shut. Nevermind...move along...pay no attention to the dotty old lady...

Yes...that's exactly what it means :) Hold it over a paper towel or over the sink and blow from the end you normally puff on with all your might. The point is to blow out as much juice from the carto's polyfill as possible. Wipe of the threads with a paper towel...done.

Can you put up pics of your e-cig? Just trying to find out the connector type so I can suggest blank carto sources.

To clarify, he means you actually put the threaded end in your mouth and blow into the carto or atty. Don't blow into the end of the cart or atty that is the en you put into your mouth--at least the way I've always done it, and I have 901 and 510 cartos and attys that are still going strong after two months heavy use...

I think I've got it. Seems easy enough ;)

I don't want to get to the point where drawing is difficult, etc. Not to mention flavor mixing. While it might be kind of fun to experiment, as mentioned above, it's good to know I can get a pure flavor via maintenance.
