Can I have some suggestions?

I am looking for a kit with 510 threading that I can easily fit in my pocket, preferable VV. I am pretty new and pretty confused.
I would love something with a long battery life, or something with two batteries. I'm looking to not break the bank, but know I pay for what I get.

Also, can I take a battery and a full atty/clearo/ect. off of my battery and store them separately without leaking juice?
I know it might be a stupid question, sorry.

Thank you all so much.

Here is my recommendation for newbies serious about switching

Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV

it gives you 2 high quality VV (variable voltage) batteries (which will allow you to dial in the correct voltage for flavor, throat hit, and vapor production - all important in switching successfully) and glass clearomizers which will be compatible with any eliquid out there (some flavors will "crack" plastic clearomizers)

iTaste i30 kit which is basically a square ego battery with a VV function on it could be a little different from the tube and Innokin stuff is pretty good at the moment, CoolFire 2 is a quirky little hand grenade and very good from reviews too, the Hammer clones are hitting the FastTech shelves and the Smok epipe is tiny but no VV on either them

Yes you can remove the tank and store it separately, this is what most shops with juice bars do ...

Dakota Jim for the win! This would also be one of my recommendations. The other I would recommend is based on the requirement for putting it in your pocket. The most pocket friendly setup I have is the Innokin VTR. It is an awesome mod, but it is definitely on the heavy side. Other than the weight, I LOVE it because it fits beautifully in my pocket with the tank on it.

This will be a very good, high quality, dependable and easy to maintain kit to use on the go.

Don't worry about "stupid questions". We all asked them at first. I've been around a while and I'm still asking stupid questions! :D

And, yes, you can have filled clearomizers separate from your batteries and that's no problem. In fact, many, many of us have a "rotation" of flavors. At times, I've had seven or so filled clearos ready so I can switch flavors on a whim. Some folks do way more than that.

Anyway...

I'm big on a starter like this:

Twist/Spinner Combo

Doesn't have to be from that vendor (though I order from them myself), doesn't have to be exactly that. But it's the kind of set up I landed on after thrashing around a while (had a Blu, dumped it, got a 510 "cig-a-like", dumped it).

Now, they might seem a tad bulky in the photos. They're not really. I've had people mistake my PV for a pen in my pocket. Only shortcoming is I haven't found a "clip" (like a pen has) that fits them so I have to be careful not to bend over without grabbing the PV or it'll slip out.

Now, there is an Innokin "iTaste EP" that is a lot like a pen and has a clip. I know nothing about it myself. Maybe others do. Here it is at Innokin's site: iTaste EP. Very pen like. Kinda cool looking. Though I have no clue how good or bad they may be so can't say.

That is one awesome value right there. Those batteries alone would be at least $45 - I paid $24 for one of them.

I am definitely considering this kit. It seems to be what I need and has some pretty good reviews. I like the idea of having a glassomizer and not having to worry about the juice cracking a plastic clearomizer.

nightmare,
Not sure if they are still in stock,
But the Innokin itaste vv v3 would be a great choice

Got mine here:
Innokin iTaste VV (V3) Express kit - 101 Vape

Great as a backup to my Sigelei Zmax v5.
Battery life is ok (800 mAh), has both 510/ego threads, VV ,VW
No problems with storing them separately, I have multiple tanks with different flavors and swap out as my taste changes....

Does anyone think that Joye eGo kit in matte black would be a decent kit?

The product description says it all: 'Think of this as a MEGA 510 kit with a monster battery!'

IOW, this is just an old-style 510 kit except with eGo batteries instead of 510 batteries. This is essentially what many of us started on a couple of years ago. (Back in the day when we were all discussing using blue foam or tea bags to try to get better wicking.)

510 atomizers are great for dripping and testing new flavors, if that's what you want to do. But, the little cartridges are frustrating and almost useless. Personally, I use a 510 atomizer on a 650mah eGo battery for stealth vaping at work. It's sufficient only because I can only sneak a half dozen or so puffs off of it during an entire shift.

Here's a good place to learn the basic types of options: Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments

I don't want to discourage you from dripping. I love dripping. But, it's not for most people. There is no tank. Only an atomizer that you have to keep dripping in a few drops at a time. It's great because there is no wicking system to malfunction. It's simple and rather primitive.

Also, the kit you linked to does have genuine Joyetech batteries, but they aren't variable voltage.

Most people nowadays recommend starting with a clearomizer kit, like people here have already suggested to you. The kit that mkbilbo suggested is the most often recommended beginner kit (Twist/Spinner Combo). It comes with 2 VV batteries of your choice and 2 clearomizers of your choice. It's a perfect opportunity to try out a couple of different VV eGo-style batteries and a couple of different clearomizers to see which you prefer. It's an excellent starter kit.

Looks like a decent enough starter. Comes with Joye's "cartridges" which are okay but not great (the old tank set up is infamous for its leaks) but those are eGo standard batteries so truckloads of other cartos and clearos and widgets and whazits will work with them.

An "eGo" is a good idea in a starter. Tons of attachments fit it, they're all over the place, you don't have to worry so much about what threading is which and who adapts to whatever.
