Hi Everyone...

Just a quick question.

I just got an ice menthol e liquid, and didn't realise quite how strong it would taste. Although I do like the freshness, it's just too harsh on my throat. I also have some fruity flavours (like green apple and strawberry), and wondered if it's okay to mix one of them with the menthol? If yes, what kind of ratio would you suggest?

Also - I'm now smoke free for just over a month yay! :)

What are the nicotine / pg/vg levels of the different flavors / bottles ?

Basically - yes you can; I do it a lot. The advice to start with just a little menthol is good - the taste can be very pervasive! I tend to work with juices of the same strength but again you don't have to.

Experiment with small batches - often I just mix them in the tank and invert it a few times once I've screwed the bottom gubbins back in...but do take some notes, so that when you find a winning combination you can replicate it.

Not very sophisticated I know...but it works for me.

Welcome aboard and congrats on your achievements so far!

They are the same strength and brand (6mg nic and they say v/v on them... does that mean 100% vg?) Sorry.. still a little new to this.

You don't actually have to worry too much about the strength and pg/vg ratio, as long as both liquids work out for you individually. If they are different, then you will just end up somewhere in the middle. I don't know what the v/v means, but it probably doesn't mean 100% vg. Not all brands will tell you the ratio, but if they do it will look something like this-- 40% PG, 60% VG. Also, they don't have to be the same brand for you to mix them. Basically, do what you think tastes good!

Personally, I would recommend you just cut with USP Grade Vegetable Glycerin
add 1/4 vg to the mix, maybe start in a separate bottle just mixing in 10 ml total to start.

Sure. You can Mix the Menthol with your Fruit Flavors. But just know that Menthol can easily Dominate other Flavors.

You might try putting 1ml of your Menthol Ice with 3ml of a Fruit Flavor in a Separate Bottle and see how it tastes.

Or if you don't have a good way to Measure ml's, 1 Part Menthol to 3 Parts Fruit.

Guess I've been doing this without really thinking about it, mixing different store-bought juices that I like, usually when a tank is partially filled with another flavor ...

Should this be called "MIY" ? :D
Nah, it's called Laziness. Something that I excel at:lol:.

You most definitely can! although lol it may not taste that great :p, If you don't mind the nicotine levels going down a bit I'd suggest adding a little glycerin to it for the menthol, won't take much even 5% will make a difference, most pharmacies carry it and I usually find it in the first aid isle next to the calamine :) Just make sure it's 100% v/v USP :)

Congrats on quitting!

Thanks!!! I'm so happy I haven't even touched a cig!
Please can you tell me what v/v means? It says it on my e-liquid bottle. I can't see anywhere if it's pg/vg but it does have v/v written on there...
v/v % = [(volume of solute)/(volume of solution)] x 100%

it's just a chemical term, doesn't really need to be there as long as it's 100% USP

Hell yes. I've saved about £100 recently by 'rescuing' liquids that had too little or too much - NIC / PG / VG in them by mixing them with other to counter the problem.

I.e. I tried some zero nic MAX VG liquids that were lush but no buzz, and had some 60Vg/40PG liquids that were too harsh at sub ohm so mixed the two and saved about £60 there alone...

Also another MAX VG liquid was really lush too but too thick and needed some nic in it too so mixed it with some 80PG/20VG 6mg liquids and now it is quite enjoyable.

I try to mix 'like for like' flavours though, but a recent cream fudge + strawberry butterscotch cookie combo was surprisingly pleasant and saved me pouring another £30 down the sink....
