I ended up with a 30ml bottle of mint ice at 24mg of nicotine. It's too strong for me. I like the taste for the tester at 18mg. When the guy made it he said I needed a stronger mg of nic and gave me 24. I believe it's a 50/50 pg/vg mix. Is there any way possible that I can cut this down so I don't waste it?
Can I reduce the nic level?

If you wanted to try mixing a 10 ml sample you could do this. You'll need plain PG/VG.
Mix 7.5ml of your 50/50 24mg with 2.5ml of plain 50/50 0mg nic. This would give you 10ml of 18mg.
7.5ml x 24mg = 180mg
2.5ml x 0mg = 0mg
180mg + 0mg = 180mg
180mg / 10ml = 18mg per ml
Keep in mind that diluting the nic will also dilute the flavor.

Get the same flavor in a lower nic level - 12 mg. Mix 50% of the 24 mg and 50% of the 12 mg to get to 18 mg again. Do it this way and you still get the flavor you like.
If you can't get that flavor at 12 mg get some unflavored at 12 mg instead and do the same thing. Again, you get to 18 mg, but since half the mix came from the unflavored stuff you will lose a lot of the flavor intensity in the process.

I don't think it's over-explained at all. I included the numbers to try and make it easier for the OP to understand. When mixing/cutting liquid it's important to understand how the mixes are achieved.
The process I described is really quite simple and only requires plain PG/VG, as opposed to going out and buying another 30ml bottle of 12mg or ordering it and waiting for its arrival. I was considering the money aspect too. Now, flavor concentration is also an issue, as has been stated. If that is important to the OP then my suggestion isn't the best choice.
The two options you listed will work and are easier but they aren't the ONLY options.
I hope my earlier post wasn't too confusing. Getting some 12mg is the easiest way to go.
I actually stopped by the B&M in my area and just picked up another 30ml bottle with 12mg of nic and the flavor. I also got another empty bottle to mix them in. It worked!! Thank you for the suggestions. I was more concerned about flavor, but I do understand the money issue of getting unflavored and cutting it with that.
Being new to this, there is a learning curve and I am learning so much for you folks on this forum. The problem is that now I am toying with the idea of getting a RDA and trying to mix other flavors and seeing what I really really like. Just yesterday I ordered 5 bottles from Mt Baker. My collection is rapidly growing.
I am up to 2 VV batteries, 2 1100mah batteries and 8 tanks. I'm trying to find that perfect vape for me, and I do believe its a quest.....lol
