No, you can't use bottom coiled (or bottom fed) heads in a Mini Nova. The Mini Nova was designed to use only top coil heads. The same is true with any bottom coiled clearomizer tank, they can not use top coil replacement heads either.
The original or the replacement heads include an internal heating coil that is wrapped around silica string wicks. This is true for both top and bottom coil tanks. Top coil tanks can generally be identified by the long string wicks that drop down into the tank. Bottom coil tanks often only show a metal stem in the middle of the tank - the wick and coils are in the stem, you just might not be able to readily see them.
A top coil tank will need to be tilted or "stirred" to keep the long string wicks wet, as they are fighting gravity to wick juice to the coils. A bottom coil tank uses gravity to its advantage, as the wick will stay wet as long as there is some juice in the tank. Top coils give a warmer vape; bottom coils give a cooler vape, due to the slight difference in space the vapor must travel from the coil to a person's mouth.
