I am having a business trip to Singapore, which I find really exciting. I have read some articles about traveling with e-cig in an airplane. But what about the legislation of some countries?
Hi @FlTemples and welcome to ECF! Unfortunately vaping is illegal in Singapore. A quick online search will answer all your questions. Here is a small snippet from 'Singapore Legal Advice'. I hope this helps:
That resembles, or is designed to resemble, a tobacco product;
That is capable of being smoked;
That may be used in such a way as to mimic the act of smoking; or
The packaging of which resembles, or is designed to resemble, the packaging commonly associated with tobacco products. Persons found guilty of this offence can be fined up to $2,000.
Singapore is one of the most rabidly anti-vape places in the world. You would be risking confiscation, getting fined, and possibly even getting arrested for bring any vape goods with you or using them there. Have a look here: SG Vapers
Better safe than sorry, I wouldn't risk it. Just leave it at home, not worth the possibility of arrest, especially in a different country. Who knows how long jail/ court proceedings would take.
Love the Rossum-Possum's sequential posts But seriously, if you're an avid vaper - and driven to the cause - you shouldn't be 'smoking' in lieu of vaping, whatever/wherever your travel plans lead to.
I move between countries, many anti-Vaping ones like Singapore (Dubai, specifically) and I've always carried my vape stuff along. Just know what (and how) you should be doing it...
