Can Lifepo4 or NiMH batts explode?

Lithium batteries can vent violently if mistreated.
High temperatures or short circuiting the battery can cause venting events.

Lithium batteries are used in cellphones and various portable power tools.
So if there is as long as there is a venting hole in my e-cig all is OK?

ALL Batteries can explode if used improperly or in the wrong devices (which is, after all, still "used improperly"). Neither lifepo4 or NiMH batteries are made for vaping, can't handle the high amps required for today's vaping power requirements, nor have the required voltages.
There are no commercial vape products made for those batteries.

You are however free to make your own choices and if you want to design and use a device using those batteries, have at it. You will need to collect some higher ohm cartomizers (like 2.5 or 3 ohm resistance or higher) in order to even come close to being some what safe. But please warn people around you before you try vaping on them, so that they can move away from you and a potential explosion.

I heard they're incombustible. And someone here in the forum told me that lifepo4s are dangerous for vaping so I just want to know what the exact dangers of vaping with a lifepo4 are.

P.S. (I have no idea what ohms, volts, and other nerdy electrovocab mean and do)

While LiFePO4 is the safest of the lithium battery "chemistries", it's not safe. Abuse it hard enough and the battery can vent or even go into thermal runaway. Though it is much harder to do that, and the reaction is a lot less violent, than other chemistries like IMR, INR, or ICR that our vaping batteries use.

LiFePO4 has a lower voltage than the other chemistries used in vaping batteries too. This can be a problem in regulated mods as they will shut down too early. You can use them in a mechanical mod if you adjust your coil resistance for the lower voltage.

But if you're not familiar with the different chemistries, the available batteries for LiFePO4 and how they can safely be used, I highly recommend sticking with the well tested and reliable IMR and INR batteries that vapers use.
