I have searched and cannot find an official statement of the C rating (max. discharge current) for the AW LiFePo4 RCR123A batteries. Various reports have it anywhere from 2C to 8C, but I suspect is is closer to 2C. Still much better than the Tenergys. I think I will toss my Tenergy RCR123A cells and stick with the 4 cell NiMH battery packs in my Prodigy. I'm happy with 5V and 4.8V is close enough.

So you're still stacking batteries of an unknown c rating in a mod that is alleged to have caused severe injuries, but you feel pretty safe now???!?!

Alrighty then.

Very sorry tokarev. My answer was meant for hummingbird and I accidentally quoted your post.

Here's the correction:

hummingbird...."So I bought some aw rc123a batteries (lifepo4) because I heard on other threads that they were much safer than the tenergys. I also put some vents on my v3. Feeling pretty safe now I guess. One question I still have-- anyone know the c rating of the AW lifepo4 batteries?"

My reply...
