Has anyone tried alternatives to the traditional resistance coil atomizers? like kapton/foil heaters or PTC pellets? Obviously this would deliver lower. heat but if you could distribute it effectively to the larger surface, you might have a more reliable system that doesn't burn out, right?

Well, I can tell you that this DOES NOT WORK!!

Truly! If all the vapor this thing generated was turned into gas you couldn't drive a piss-ant's motorcycle half way around a BB!

One more factor to consider is nominal vs actual resistance.

Nominal is the resistance stamped on the package or coil.

Actual is the resistance as measured by your device or multimeter. That can be +/- 0.3 ohms in my experience.

You actually read what's on the package, or the coil?
SRSLY?!?
:D

I don't believe it unless my Multimeter AND my APV tell me so!

What is this "Breaking Bad" of which you speak?

I have been DIY'ing my liquid now for a few weeks and my Bromo Blue tests tell me that I'm on target!

:p

But then, I use a hydrometer to test my ABV levels in my homebrew, so there's that.

I just do what Ramen noodles tells me too, so much respect brother!

Same with ejuices when you think about it, even the best one's may be off by +-2mg Nic so you could be vaping 24 and really be vaping 26 and vice versa. Unless ou're DIYing it Breaking Bad-style :)

RHP

I'd only be concerned if the nic level was off on my unflavored nic...
But I only buy lab certified nicotine, from sources I trust, I only buy 100mg, and that's the strongest they sell...
So I figure that even if they made a mistake the most likely outcome would be less nic rather than more in my juice...

As for me making a mistake... It's surely possible, but I'm an insulin dependent diabetic, and my wife's a Hospital RN... I have no shortage of syringes and needles around here, and that's what I measure everything with...
