Not everybody has the time to fiddle with rebuildable atomizers. And yes, time IS money.

Rebuildables are something of a hobby for a lot of folks. Someone struggling to quit smoking, get his/her gear working right and finding a sweet spot that tastes right doesn't leave much time for learning the lingo.

What Rob said resonates for me- squonking is pretty much the simplest least fiddly way for me to get the vape I want that I've found. I don’t really treat the equipment side of vaping as a hobby (the DIY side is another story.)

But I agree that it’s a lot to take in for someone new to vaping. A friend of mine (who had vaped a bit in the past, back in the days of fixed voltage egos and clearomizers,) asked me for advice on getting started again a few months ago and...

Well, his interest was very utilitarian, to the point that he had no interest in flavors, so I had him get a couple of Picos, a couple of Nautilus 2s, and some 18mg 70% VG base. Super simple, super affordable (coils last a while when you vape unflavored,) and way better than what I started on. So far it has gone pretty swimmingly for him.

He lives in another state, so I haven’t seen him since then. Next time I do I’ll let him try out some of the juice I mix in an RDA and see what he thinks- he might like it and get into rebuildables and flavored juice. But I think rebuildables might have been a bridge too far for him initially.

This might sound counter intuitive but try coils with a single core as they have thicker cotton between the coil wire and coil wall (the bit with the juice holes in) as multiple core coil heads like the smok t8 t10 can leak a bit but I've never had leaking from the tfv8 q4 coils because of this theory and thin juice leaks pretty much from everything

I've said this several times and haven't really got a good answer from a tanker. Why do you'll fiddle around with them tanks. I have only owned one tank and said the hxxl with this, and went to squonking, that was 4 or 5 years ago
this member said they have bad hands and eyes therefor trying to get into rebuilding would be a major source of frustration for them, not an ideal situation you know. I own many tanks and RDA's alike and switch back and forth between them depending on the day and mood but all my tanks are rebuildable RTA's and I use them for long road trips so that I do not have to worry about dripping and driving. For real long roadtrips I use the Modfather Voltrove 41mm tank which is an absolute beast of a tank by the way it will hang with any of my RDA's in a cloud competition and the flavor believe it or not is rather spectacular for a big device. Tanks have their place and purpose and for this person I can understand the purpose which is ease of maintenance.

I agree with what Klangertechguy said, I never understood the octa-coils or twelves, anything more than a parallel dual coil is just an unnecessary major strain on your batteries anyway, I do not see the purpose of all those coils, they do not produce any better vape quality unless you run them at max capacity. If you are running these coils at lower than recommended range that will actually cause leakage because they are not atomizing the juice as fast as vacuum draws it into the chamber so when you park your rig for the night it has all that excess needing a way to escape. My buddy wasn't running his TFV 12 coils high enough and was getting leaks and spitback through the mouth piece we went and got him a quad coil and problem solved.

Everyone has to find their happy place with vaping. Some can find it right away and some like me it takes thousands of dollars and years of work. After three years I found my happy place. Now I check bargain bins or deals on older stuff that is known to be good. Just picked up a new Joyetech Cuboid 200WATT TC Box MOD for $34.95. It will likely sit in its box until someday that I need it or perhaps one of my kids. Happy with my Merlin and Ammit single coil tanks. About 40 rolls of different wires and all I use is one roll now. And yes it is Kanthal like I started with years ago. I like the way it vapes so I stay with it now. Last seven eight months I have changed nothing vape wise except added more juice recipes to my lineup. I found my happy place. CHEERS!

Ladies and Gentlemen
Sometimes in the morning when I first try to vape, for the lack of a better word I hear slurping noises. This goes on for about 6 or 7 drags.yuk! And then it goes away and everything is fine for the rest of the day. Is their anyone else that has come across this problem? Any ideas on how to stop this problem?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Try firing it while blowing down the chamber. Don't have to put your mouth to it

Disabled hands and eyes. I don't have a choice but to use a tank so it is what it is. LoL
