You should just call the guys at A to Z they are really helpful I've bought from them a few times. To my knowledge though the DNA30 mods can't go below .5 ohm. Can't really speak for that particular type of battery but every time I see the topics of Li-ion batteries and subohm together there is nothing but advice against it.I'm pretty sure Rob and the crew can put the Sony vtc4 30a batteries in those when they're built. Like I said call them and ask they are super helpful

This quote from http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/apv-discussion/481641-battery-info-sub-ohm.html might be a little more helpful.

It funny, there seem to be a lot of battery questions on ECF tonight, which is good.

All batteries we use are lithium ion. ICR li-ion are not safe to use for vaping. They are sometimes protected and sometimes not.

IMR li-ion are never protected. They are a safer chemistry and don't need protection.

There are also hybrid batteries that are generally not protected. They are also safer chemistry, but IMO not as safe generally as IMR. I have seen these in protected versions occasionally.

For sub-ohm vaping IMR batts are the safest. 99% of the time if a battery is protected it is ICR. As I said above, ICR are not safe enough.

IMO if you don't know what the battery is, don't use it. I don't know what your batt is. RGV 82 does nothing for me. If it were me, I would take it back and try to exchange it.

HTH.

After a little research those should be fine as they are IMR batteries. Wow I feel stupid

To be honest, I'm not educated to know the battery requirements of the DNA mods.

I do know that regulated mods perform best with a high drain battery. They use pulse currents to make higher voltage, and require a battery which has a least 10 amps. Technical - Why high drain batteries?

The above Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mah battery is a hybrid/ICR battery which only has a 6.8 amp limit and is not considered a high drain battery. Considered a high capacity (mAh) battery, a horse of a different color.

Per Evolv - DNA30 datasheet: said:
"Battery:

A single cell rechargeable lithium chemistry battery is recommended.
Either a lithium ion or a lithium polymer type can be used. Any battery used should be rated for a MINIMUM of 12 amps continuous discharge current.
High C rated lithium polymer or IMR cylindrical cells are strongly preferred. Make sure that
all contacts and connections are capable of handling at least 12 amps."

And there ya' go, aye. ;-)
