can someone explain how the sb with 2 - 3volt cr123 batteries, that are putting out 3.6volts when charged, how the sb puts out 6volts,wouldnt it be 7.2 volts,or maybe it drops under load ,im just not sure how that works, and explaination is needed if possible,im on the fence about buying one, only because of that reason,i would be greatfull if someone can explain this, thanks much k9frog

I use the 3.0 volt RCR123A batteries, lifePo. Two of them together makes for 6 volts and they are protected batteries too. I believe the SB actually runs at 5 volts under load.

so your saying the voltage drop comes from the atty and the switch,im use to vaping with 5 volts, figured i would try the next level ,but dont need a 7 volt mod, just to cook attys,at 5volt i can get easy 6 to 8 weeks out of a be112 atty,,,k9

Pretty much that's what it boils down too.....Now by no means am i an expert on this technical stuff,But the atty and the switch do take off some voltage from your batts....But please do not quote me on this....Because like i said I'm no expert, this is just my 2 cents worth....:)

boy thanks for the great responce on this subject,BUT !!! i use the standard be112 atty,
never had an issue with them at high volts, but i only went as high as 5 volts, with the glv,so what i understand is when using 6 volts the spring and switch and atty provide the voltage drop to 6 volt, but when using 3.7 volts there is no voltage drop,i got that but dont understand why itll effect one voltage level but not the next, but then again i cant wire in a wall switch lol,,k9

What's confusing? 3.7v batteries charge of up to 4.2v. However, when people say 3.7 volt mod they are referring to the nominal voltage rating of the batteries being used in that particular device. 6v is just a general number referring to the nominal working voltage of the r123a batteries. It is much easier for people to say "I am vaping at 6v" and disregard the technical side of it. If you want a voltage that is constant and never changes I would reccommend the BB PT.
