can the DNA chips share negative connection /ground?

Hi,
Would anybody know if the dna chips can have a shared ground? I.e. have a steel mod and use the tube as ground for buttons, Atty and battery? And just wire the positive connections?

Since the battery for a mod has only one ground, the dna or any other chip can/must use that battery's ground. So, the answer would have to be Yes.
