Can this fit and be used for VV

Can this regulator be used and fit in a AA slot on a 3 or 4 slot box?
AnyVolt Micro - Universal DC-DC converter steps voltage down and up

If not are there any that you can recommend that are pretty much plug and play? i just built the evercool but i wanted to try a chip that already had the full circuit built with the pot installed.

That reg is only rated to 500 mA or .5 amps so it is pretty much useless for what we would need. That same company makes higher rated regs that would work. Quite a few in here have used them.

yeah that's how i found it. I just didn't want to use the one that you have to remove the heat sink and shave all kinds of stuff down to fit in a AA slot. I'm horrible with power ratings and what i need for this type of application so that's why i gotta ask about all of it haha. Any suggestions on a prebuilt one that doesn't need any modification?

this one here is rated at 3 amps should do the trick unless you like to use LR atomizers at 6 volts then you might want to look for a 4amp one.

yeah i'm gonna grab one of those when payday hits. but in a previous post they said that in order to fit that in a AA slot you have to take off the heat sink casing and shave down some of the board. I was hoping to find one that i didn't have to do that to, if possible that is.

Yeah i dont think i would want to be shaving circuit board off a 25 dollar regulator. maybe you can figure out a way to make it fit with out doing all that.

yeah i'm gonna mess around with it. i'll prob just buy a project box that is a bit different shape and can take that chip. Cause building that evercool mod was rough. Was one of the hardest things i ever did, especially with the crappy soldering iron i have that has a giant needle tip on it.

yeah that Ti chip used in the evercool is really damn small. The pins got bent out for the evercool. I am going to make my own Circuit board when i do mine no bent pins it is going straight in. So thats going to be a fun soldering job but i have a pretty good idea how to make it easyer i hope it works out.

definitely have to post pics of that. I posted my juice fed evercool a bit earlier tonight. you really feel a sense of accomplishment on your first mod. and a juice fed VV evercool is a tall order. Was worth it though ^^

Yeah I actually have a few of the ti chip for evercool but was just wanting something that was completely done with the caps resistor and pot. Yeah just didn't know if a full package like that existed that could go into a AA slot

Its a full PCB that just requires the caps I believe but I know what you mean and I've never seen any from them.
