Can you dry fire a taifun GS?

Recently bought an ehpro clone of the gs. First build I did was great, but every other build after has been giving me nasty dry hits. I was wondering if there was some sort of insulator in the base that could be burned if I dry fire this thing, and if that's the source of this problem. Anyone know?

The GS is a finicky atty. Takes time and patience to get it working right. The best method i found was cotton wick thru the coil, with steel mesh wicks in the tank holes leading down to the cotton.

You can dry fire the GS,there is an insulator on the bottom of the positive post but it wont burn with normal use or dry firing.Chances are good you are just having wicking issues.

dravell's suggested build will work well.
