Can you over charge ?

Wondering if you can wear a battery down or shorten it's life span by leaving it on the charger past the light goin green. If it makes a difference I'm takin about 510's. Thanks

I've left mine on for 24+ hours. Th charger is designed to not over charge the battery. So long as it is not defective you shouldn't have to worry about it.
