Can you smoke outside?

I was at a house part yesterday. The man of the house had a man cave in the garage. Nice setup with a pool table, mini fridge and good music.

As we're sitting there watching two people play pool, I break out my ego and take a couple puffs. Man of the house looks up and the convo goes like this.

Him: Hey, can you smoke that outside?
Me: It's an electronic cigarette, but if you want me to use it outside, I can.
Him: Oh man... really? That thing puts out a lot of smoke!
Another guy: I was seeing the smoke come out, but didn't smell anything
Him: That's crazy!
Me: Do you still want me to step outside
Him: Nah... I mean, it's not real right?
Me: No... the smoke you see is just water vapor
Him: And that helps you quit?
Me: I have quit. I haven't had a cigarette in over a month now. For some they have to transition between real cigarettes and this, but for me it was instant. My goal is to not need this anymore either.

Later that night, I was sitting right next to a guy puffing away and asked if he smelled anything and he said no. Just saw the cloud. His brother was a smoker and came from outside smelling like an ashtray. He never once asked me about it, and I didn't offer any information to him. I figure if he wanted to quit, he'd be inquisitive. No sense in pushing information on people who could care less.

I usually find the not going outside is a big attention catcher for smokers. Shame he didn't engage you about it.

It was definitely a big thing for me. Even though it's southern california, it's still cold out there. Another thing is not stinking after I'm done... I hate that I have to go to the smokers area when I'm at the club. Even though I'm not the one smoking, I can smell the smoke in my clothes.

I had a similar experience not too long ago... was at a poker game, and the smokers took periodic breaks to go outside and smoke. Even though I vape in my own house/car (I didn't smoke there, though), I generally observe the normal smoking etiquette elsewhere. Then, a friend of mine says, "Why are you going outside to use that thing? It's just water vapor, right?" The guy whose house it was agreed, so... ok, wth, I'll vape in your house.

I was at a house party last night too. This was my first big outing with my PV and I was really nervous about using my it, so I opted to go outside with the smokers. When I came back in, everybody kept asking me about my "magic cigarettes!" I swear everybody wanted to try it; smokers and nonsmokers. I was shocked! I was sure everyone would think it was a stupid toy or a fake cigarette. But it was super fun. We passed them around inside and everybody wanted to try out all the different flavors I had on me. It actually turned out to almost be like a fun party game! Not only did it help me break my nasty ciggy habit, but it helped me break the ice with people I didn't know. Now I can't believe I was embarrassed about it to begin with!

I was at the bar last night and asked the waitress if they would have a problem with me vaping inside. She called over the manager and showed her how it works. Also I was vaping butterscotch and she loved the smell and told me she had no problem with me using it.

Yeah, eventually we'll reach the point where everyone has seen one and it won't be an issue. For now, however, I stealth vape while on a plane.

A lot of the times going outside with the smokers is what helps them get into it! I know it did for me. I don't mind answering questions by any means. The only thing I tell them is I don't know everything! Overall, I think it is in our nature to want to help people! I'm glad that a lot of you are successful!

When i at jusry duty and out back eating my lunch there were a lot of smokers and then i started vaping and was getting looks but not one came and asked me anything.
