There is no smoke. Some people express feeling awkward about vaping in public. Some conceal it. Some do it openly. Do be sure that someone will look at you strangly. All you have to do is arm yourself with a little knowledge to diffuse any misconceptions. Enjoy your freedom from carcinogens!

If you shop at AvidVaper for your attys and whatnot, ask Cisco for some extra business cards. He has the "what is an eCig" demo on the back of his cards.
With that said, I need to remember to ask for more next visit.

I still feel awkward in public, no matter which tool I'm vaping. But, I have quite an assortment of pv's ... from stealth to outrageous. When I see smokers, I can't wait to watch their expressions when the fog lifts. When I'm around non-smokers I like my stealth types...
To make a long story longer... I guess it depends on the crowd. Be prepared and take both the outrageous and the stealth wherever you go.

Sound advice.

I wouldn't take a silver bullet out with me in public. I used to smoke for a 5 minute break away from everyone else, so I still value my "smoking" time as time not to be pestered about what's in my mouth (or if it's a funny mod, what's in my hand).

If you're really worried about it, pick up a cig lookalike 510 or 808 or something, go outside to vape or wait up without vaping for the time you're inside in public.

That said, if I was to vape in a cafe or somewhere like that, I'd want to do it with something that didn't look like a cigarette so there's no confusion over whether I'm smoking a cigarette or not. I just choose not to as I never did when I smoked either.

I commonly use a Helix with a tank in public. Some people stare, but I rarely notice. There have only been about six people who came up to me and said something about it since I started vaping. One was a guy who thought I was doing drugs, the rest had questions about electronic cigarettes. I didn't mind it at all, in every case it started good conversations, even with the guy who was trying to explain that they don't allow drugs.

Its just not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.

It is not illegal, we have clubs here that cater to Vapers. I use mine in public freely, use it in restaurants, stores, etc. I have been asked what it is and gladly will explain and demonstrate it. I have been told to "put it out" and that is not allowed which I respond with "no". I suppose a business can refuse service to you but generally they are curious, once they understand its all good.

BINGO! Often I'll grab a Buzz Pro with a DIY SYRINGE TANK with the intent to watch the reaction of others and hopefully field some questions. No shame or bashfulness here...

I've been vaping for 4.5 months now. At first I was VERY timid about where I would vape. Movies, concerts, the mall - anywhere is open game now. Yes, LOTS of stares (Prodigy V3 w/Liquinator). Those who ask what it is seem to be really surprised and intrigued. A lot of smokers have noticed it and ask me if it works well. I can't tell you how many people I've led to vaping now . . . :)

I never feel awkward or weird vaping in public. I feel cool and like a trend setter. :) If you kinda think of it like that, then its a lot easier. We are the cool kids that have the brand new toy. People wont know what it is... but if they make fun of you its just because the are jealous. ;)
