Some people use the word "atty" to describe different devices. I'm trying to understand what you are referring to and how it is being killed. Lol! That sounds weird. When I mean "plain" atty, I mean just a coil and a wick. No clearo tank, no carto filler, no RBA...

So, "killed" - is it burning? Shorting?

If it was shorting out, it would either kill the battery or blink 3 times depending on whether or not it has short-circuit protection built in. If tj99959's suggestion works, it means the center post was pushed down by something. It can be avoided in the future by not screwing things down so tight - not all center connectors on tanks can reach down that far. Tanks with spring-loaded connectors can cause it too.

With a new atty it was probably installed that way during production, it's not at all uncommon with both atties & cartos. If you take one apart you will see that there is an o-ring type insulator, and a corresponding indention in the center post. If the post was pushed to far in during production just wiggling it a little will let it center itself.

Does the ego c kill the atty or what? Mine keep dying!!

If you are talking about genuine Joye products, then yes, you can use a LR Type A atty with a Joye eGo C batt. I do all of the time. Both my batts are 8 months old. IMHO only buy Joye batts.

If you have a Joye batt and say a LR 1.8oHm atty in a BCC, you should still be fine, I switch between a Joye eGo C and an iSmoka mini BCC with, I think, 1.8oHm atty, and my batts are fine.

These are what I use so anything different I wouldn't know.
