New unit = ~$75 shipped I already have a couple of new authentic Evolv DNA30 boards and charger boards on hand. paid $53ea set shipped.

If you have Tried Everything else like a Center Pin Lift and Continuity Check with DMM, you might be down to the Point where Re-soldering or Re-Placing the Board is about the Only Option.

But before you do. What is the Price Difference between Buying a New Board and Buying a New Unit?

So I am at my desk at work messing with this thing now. I pulled all the epoxy from below the 510 and was able to check the solder point, and also push the center pin up to where it made contact for sure. Tried a few RDAs, and still the same message. As for a deliberate short, I simply placed a micro screwdriver on the center pin and tilted it so it also touched the outside threads of the 510. No "short" message, still the same "check atomizer" message.

Thoughts now?

I think you are getting Close to the SOL City Limits.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Sooooo, any ideas for a different kind of build for this case? HAHA

Evolv board is about $50 delivered, SX350 will fit with some modification to the box for about $65. Or sell the box I think a lot of folks are using them for projects these days including myself.

Is there an Echo in here?

;)

No problem, good to make that advise go through. ;) BTW, I've already built three of those and work perfectly. Of course I have good soldering skills, used good color coded wire (not the junk supplied) and didn't use a single drop of hot glue. Würth epoxy and cyanoacrylate all over. Shrinkwraped connections and intelligently routed cables too. :D
