For now .. YES.... lad !!

These things are so new eh, and 99% of the people don't have a clue what they are. It'll be a g'day in a lil matter of time yaknow, cause we're just as greedy for toys as anyone else.

The only difference is we're so friggin cold eh, and with our boots buried in snow most the time making the effort to get out of our igloo's puts Nanook behind the times a bit.

Now, gots ta go git ma skreetch bye, so's da lads dun git pissy and gimme da boot eh.

VapeOn,
Greg aka: Nanook of da North

I wouldn't worry much. I've made about 10 orders since November with various US suppliers, I've only been dinged by customs once, and that was a large kit valued at +$90, which is why I think they took notice and charged me. Any time it was 40-50 bucks, no problemo. Puresmoker.com is hard to beat, Litecigusa is also excellent, and he uses priority shipping.

If I had the start up dough, believe me, I'd be doing it right now.

I've been wondering about the customs thing. I ordered an ecig from here in Canada but wasn't happy at all with the product. I'm looking to order from the US but am afraid of a huge ding at the door from customs. Maybe someone up here should get off their duff and open a *proper* ecig business. Sheesh.

I could probably find the money to start up, but have absolutely NO IDEA how to go about it. It is something I've thought about though...definetly needed. I did place an order earlier today, total value was $100 CD. Will have to wait and see what customs will do. I just hope they don't go crazy on me! I just massively overpaid for a kit from a *Canadian* site and had the atomizer die on me after 4 1/2 days. Now I'm playing the waiting game for them to answer my email. tick tock tick tock.

Hey Staresm,
As long as you stay FAR FAR away from UPS, Fedex, and to some degree DHL you should be fine. Make sure whoever you order from ships by US post... You get a little on GST and maybe a couple bucks more but no big thing.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say your Canadian order was from e-puffer. I am having a heck of a problem with them.. not shipping, not answering, wanting to change me to return a kit that did not work from day one.
I have never tried to get money back from Paypal but I think I need to start looking into it.

A Canadian company with the service level of say 'PureSmoker' and carrying the same products would be nice. I always prefer to get from within Canada so I don't have to worry about cost or delays at the border.

As for staresm, I'd guess you used epuffer as well since the communication from the company was quite horrible. They are on my permanent sh.t list.

LOL....everyone seems to have an epuffer tale of woe. I'd ordered a model 084 or 804, can't remember what I figured out it was...little realistic ecig with tiny bluish plastic carts ($167 CD). First of all the charger didn't work. So I emailed and was told that if I ordered something else, they would send a new charger in with that order immediately. So I ordered a USB charger just in case I found myself in this situation again ($30 CD). Got the charger, and as this was my first ecig I didn't realize that such a small amount of vapour wasn't normal. Anyway, after 4 days the atomizer died. So far I've spent $200 CD and have nothing I can use. I couldn't believe that the prices on their site were in USD which made their shipping cost more than ordering from the US. I knew their prices were far from competitive but figured it was worth it to not have to worry about importing anything. I couldn't find any answers as to what to expect. So far I've not heard anything back (3 days) about the dead atomizer. I'm planning to send the whole kit and kaboodle back and trying to get a refund. If they won't refund, I'll take the value in e-juice.

On a more positive note, when my little ecig was working (after a fashion) I did actually prefer it to traditional smoking! I'm now awaiting my 901 from the US. Hopefully it'll get here soon.

Margaret
